I accidentally fell in love with two dresses a little outside my budget – and I’m taking the time during scoping out sales to try to decide! I love both for different reasons – we’re doing a second line jazz wedding in NOLA, and I have looks in mind that could work with either. #1 would be silver/gold bridesmaid dresses, and #2 would probably be darker flowers and merlot/black bridesmaid dresses. Our color palette is black/merlot/olive/gold anyway, so both would kind of work! I have more pics, and they’re WAY better in person, but here are the options:

The first dress – What would you wear under the top? It looks completely see through even in your bra area?
Either way I love dress 2 and think merlot/black bridesmaid dresses would look awesome

I agree the first one looks way too sheer on the top, how would you style that on the day?
I don’t love th stars so I prefer the second one on you!

Who makes that first dress with the stars? Someone I know just got engaged and that looks like a dress she would love! (although I agree, the bodice could use some lining.)

I admit I prefer #1 because you look magical! Plus I immediately envisioned you with a wand so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I also agree with the other pp’s that the top is way too sheer.

I love dress #2! I like the stars dress overall but it just looks kind of busy.

I’m half in love with #1 on you so thats my pick. 😍 Assuming you have it lined or plan to wear something underneath it, at least in the front. Its unique and I think it better fits the jazz line wedding you’ve described.

I was curious about the bodice situation on stars – she said it would be lined/cups sewn in, and that since the sample was made for an A cup (I’m a C) it would have more coverage in my size 🙂 that was one of the only reasons I still considered it hah!

Dress 2 is beautiful!
Not a huge fan of dress 1 as a wedding gown (it kinda reminds me of Ms. Frizzle on the episode where they learn about space – sorry )

I love how unique dress 1 is! I think lined/with cups. it will give you a totally cool vibe on your wedding day that will stand out! I say go for it!

I love the first dress! I feel it screams “jazz wedding in NOLA”!
Either way, you look beautiful in both!

I LOVE that first dress! It’s so unique and really pretty, and I think it would work great with your wedding theme. I think it will look amazing once it’s lined/cups added. It’s probably going to be a bit of a polarizing dress, though, so I’d only pick it if you were prepared to own your choice and not care too much if it isn’t to other people’s tastes.
The second dress is also really pretty and looks great on you (I’m assuming that top will also be lined). It’s not as much of a wow factor to me as the first, but it is still a very pretty dress, and I really like the idea of the flowers being a bit darker to stand out more.

They are both lovely! I’m assuming you’ll sort out the lining issues though. I like dress 1 a bit more, but I’d be afraid that down the road I wouldn’t like the stars as much as I do now. Dress 2 is a bit more timeless in that regard. But there’s something about dress 1 that I like a bit more. I do wonder if beaded stars might work a bit better though.

These are each SO different. What do you love about each? I’d write out a list and compare.

Dress 2 is my pick. Absolutely beautiful. Teamed with merlot bridesmaid dresses it will look spectacular. The first one just strikes me as a bit “theatrical “. Even though I’m partial to a bit of bling it doesn’t quite say “bridal” to me. It seems quirky and fun. By all means go for it if that aligns better with your personality. You certainly look good in it and once the bodice is lined it will be a really unique choice for a bride
