I think you look beautiful in the dress you bought! But if you are truly sad about it, I just read a post on here about how a bride exchanged her DB dress for another one. Maybe you can try a different store or call headquarters?

Girl, the dress you have really looks great on your curves.  Show them off. I am sure the other one is pretty but looks tenty.

That Galina dress was displayed in Macys a couple of months ago and it’s. so. GORGEOUS. If the tags are still attached, try to take it back. If not, see if you can sell it to a resale shop in your area.

@Igem:  hmmm I’m sorry you’re going through this but I think I prefer the ball gown. Its got more touches and its more vintage in shape so I think it works better with your wedding…

If DB won’t take it back, maybe you could try to sell it on eBay or here and find a used one of the Galina?

It might not be as expensive to swap as you thought.

Good luck!

The dress you have looks beautiful on you and you could do so much with your veil and jewelry.  Especially with a vintage theme… gorgeous earrings, bracelets, and an intricate veil would be stunning.  BUT~ if you are absolutely sure the other dress is right for you, as in you’ve tried it on more than once and there’s nothing you’d change… then I say find a way to buy it.  If you got your first dress for a good price, you’ll most likely be able to sell it to recover some costs.

I understand the feeling.  I suggest you try to sell your dress. I just listed my dress because I am not happy with it either.  I do think the dress looks lovely on you but in the end you have to do what makes you happy.

@Igem:  IMO You have a great figure and I don’t think either dress shows it off to it’s fullest potential. The first dress really hugs your curves and I don’t see that the second dress would do the same.

I really like your dress but recommend taking the picture and your dress to a seamstress that only does wedding gowns. My daughter did this and it was amazing what she did with just a few adjustments and embellishments. Your sash could also be changed out for one like the dress your in love with. I was shocked at how different the dress was for so little money. Take a deep breath and think what would you like your dress to have for you to love it again, then go from there.

Go try them both on.  Thats the only way to know.  I had dress regret and when I tried on the dress I bought for the 2nd time. I broke down in tears.  I knew without a doubt I picked the wrong dress.  You have enough time to correct it.

I love your dress! Don’t change it 🙂 Unless it just really makes you sad
