I think Darling Husband has been bitten by the baby bug.
He has brought up potential baby names THREE times in the past week, including once with my parents ( read: they’re flipping the eff out thinking we are TTC)
So, these are the names he has presented. I have my yay and nay aspect, but I wanted to see what y’all thought, too!
ETA: we will be TTC in the next couple of years, so a lot could change. However; one of these names he has mentioned before and I think he feels very strongly about.

@Mrs_Amanda: If I had to choose one I like Brantley the best. They’re all nice though!

I’ve loved the name Cole for years!
@discodance: I never really considered it until one day I heard it in passing and LOVED it. Then, a few days later I met a guy named Cole ( huge jerk) and it turned me off to the name completely, so I’m trying to disassociate it now lol.

@Mrs_Amanda: Brantley… never heard it before so I’m kinda on the fence about that one (and it seems like it should be Bradley). Elijah seems overdone (like pretty popular), and Jameson… no. That sounds like a last name… Jenna Jameson the porn star comes to mind.
So Cole it is. I am more of a classical names kinda gal, though.

@Mrs_Amanda: Oh man, I hate it when that happens. Several of my favorite names were ruined because of jerks I met who shared the name.

Really dislike Brantley. I’d call him Brant, which reminds me of “rant” so I’d probably call him “Rantly.” Then again, I’m mean. 🙂
Cole is beautiful. It reminds me of Mr. Holland’s Opus! But I voted Elijah because I have always loved that name since Elijah Wood was in the movie North.
As for Jameson, I cant not think of the liqour.

I dislike them all, sorry! To me they sound like surnames or made up names which I really don’t like. I suppose I dislike Elijah the least.
If you have ages to decide you might find one sticks out as your favourite in a few years whereas you don’t feel as strongly about the others.

I like Cole and Elijah fine. Brantley is okay…I’m not sure if I like it or not. Jameson…all I can think of is whiskey and Irish Car Bombs.

The only one I dislike is Brantley. That ones a no for me. I like Cole the best of the other three.

I actually really like the top 3, not big on Elijah though. I think Cole is super cute!! 🙂

I like Cole and Elijah, but I really dislike Brantley and Jameson.
I like Cole the most because it is strong and easy to say/spell. It is also not extremely common, but what I consider a “normal” name.
Elijah is nice. I really like the nickname Eli. It screams biblical to me. In my mind, it seems more common than Cole, but not top ten common.
Brantley sounds made up to me. I really don’t like boy names that end in -ley. It feels too trendy to me. (It feels like a variation of Brant/Brent, which I would like more).
Jameson immediately makes me think of whiskey (and, to me is akin to naming your kid Coors or Guinness) and if anything, is more of a last name (the whole -son part). I would prefer James over Jameson.

I like Elijah.
I don’t like Cole. I’ve never known a non-douchebag Cole. lol Plus it just makes me think of similar words like cold, mole, pole, roll, toll, hole, coal, etc. Would make for super easy mean nicknames in school.
Yeah.. Jameson whisky. haha
And Brantly… brat. rant. Not a good idea =/

I like Jameson! A friend named her son that (Jameson Terrance) and call him JT.
