It sounds like it would be easier for you to pick a gown out in Florida, unless you have plans to travel and want to do it with your mom & sister. 🙂

I am a July 9th bride.  I am planning my wedding in Seattle and live in Pittsburgh.  Stress!  My step mom found a venue.  The ceremony will be outside on the water and the receptiojn inside overlooking the water. Your venue is way more beautiful though.  My venue has ugly red swirl carpet and beams on the cieling.  But there are really not places like your venue in Seattle.  I searched everywhere.

I looked for dresses in Seattle and on the East Coast.  I found a dress I love on the East Coast.  I didnt buy it but I cannot stop dreaming about it.  I am going to either

1) Find an authorized dealer in Pittsburgh and carry my dress on the plane

2) Find an authorized dealer online and have it shipped to Seattle

3) Find an authorized dealer in Seattle

I am going to go with the option that saves me the most money.

I would look for a dress in Florida.  Or look in New York (if you have time) and have it shipped to Florida.  It would be easier for alterations, and you’d save a bit on sales tax.

I live in New York but getting married in Oregon, and I’m doing my dress shopping here mostly because I know that you can sometimes have several fittings to do and I didn’t want to worry about traveling for that. But almost everything else is being done in Oregon.
