I’m hoping for some advice. Here’s my situation….I chose my bridal party based on my current circle of friends. They include my sister, a very close friend I’ve known my whole life, and the three friends I spend most of my time with now (and have for the past 10 years or so). Another of my close friends that I’ve known my entire life will be our M.C. I was planning on splitting the M.C. duties between the current M.C., and another friend, until I found out friend #2 has a deathly fear of public speaking.
My problem is that I’ve known friend #2 since childhood. We haven’t been that close for the past number of years, but still want her to be a part of the day. She is very creative/crafty, and seeing as our venue can’t give us our reception or ceremony space until the day of the wedding, I’m going to need someone to take care of all of the decorating etc. while the rest of us are getting ready and taking pictures. I’ve already talked to her about it, and she is more than happy to do it, but I also want to include her name in the program (as it would have been included if she were co-M.C as originally planned).
Have any of you heard of another title for a Day-Of Coordinator? I was hoping for something a bit more personal, if that makes sense.
I apologize for the long, drawn-out explanation, but I thought it might help if I gave some background.
