CocoLoco523:  I love Finley but I am biased as my  nephew is Finley ๐Ÿ™‚ he gets Finn or Finley. My sisters partner wanted to call him Finn but she prefered finley so they compromised x

Aww I really like Finn! Both Finnegan and Finley are cute, but with your last name, I think Finley is better. Finnegan Owen is just too much “en” for me. Congrats!

Now that people are saying Finley is feminine?. I don’t like it. Lol but I’m big on having boy names be boy names and girl names be girl names! I’m pretty traditional when it comes most things! Other than my previous suggestion of just Griffin being the first name. Have you thought about Phineas or Fineas?! And then call him Finn!

My favorite of the names you’ve mentioned is Finn. Very cute. However, Finn Owens sounds too much like one word, ie Finnowens. TBH, not a big fan of Finnegan,Finley, or Linus.

what about Griffin Knox? My sister’s boys are William and Andrew and go by Liam and Drew, so you could shorten Griffin to Fin(n).

I think they’re all nice and unusual, which is my deal too ๐Ÿ˜‰ I really like Finnegan but probably only on the basis he would be known as Finn 95% of the time. I just think it’s important to have a solid first name which can be abbreviated to something nice.

Finley is definitely a boys name in Australia.

do people really think Finn is not a nickname and can be used as the whole name? I need the ‘talk to the hand/nuh uh girlfriend’ emoticon here. But yeah, I disagree ๐Ÿ™‚

I chose the third option because I like it best out of all your options. I’m not a fan of Finnegan or Finley at all. My sister had a dog named Fin so I just think of dogs when I hear something like it. Haha. I do like Linus, but it reminds me of Charlie Brown. Lol.

I’m not exactly a fan of any of those names. Sorry! I like names for boys that sound manly when they grow up. My favorite boy name is James. When they are little Jimmy is cute, when they get older Jim is easy and short, and James looks so nice on a resume. Who wouldn’t hire a James? I also like Ronald, Jonathon, and Nicholas for the same reasons. They won’t be cute babies forever. If I had to pick one of your names, I would go with Linus. It’s easy to say and looks nice in cursive for signautes.

CocoLoco523:  I will give you a small tip. Meet your baby before you name him. My girls didn’t have names until they were 3 days old. I couldn’t choose from the short list, and finally decided that meeting them would be a great idea. My girls are named Mariah and Luella. Neither of those names were on the short list. They just popped in my head. A lot of people have trouble with Luella, and after I told you what I like for boy names, go ahead and call me a hypocrite. lol. But she was born at 29 weeks, and my mom has a dear customer named Luella and she was a preemie. I always liked the name, and it just stuck. Good luck! Oh, and just remember, no one will tell you their honest opinion of a baby name once the baby is born. Once a person has a name, it’s all said and done.

CocoLoco523:  I actually like all the options listed. My favorite is Linus. I don’t know why but I really like the way Linus Owens sounds.
