We’re narrowing it down! My husband has really started pulling for Charlie for some reason (his brother suggested it) and it’s growing on me. I was like “That’s a boy name!” but he said “What? You think our dog is going to have some sort of gender crisis because of her name or something?” I could always say it’s short for something girly, like Charlotte!
He was the one that was really pulling for a pit mix of some kind. I was hesitant (I fully admit I somewhat believed the hype about them being vicious), but I’ve been doing a lot of research on the breed and how to socialize and train them and after just 2 days with her, I can say she’s the most loveable, snuggle-obsessed little lovebug I’ve ever seen in my life!

I think Daisy fits her. 🙂 I like that one.
Haha, my daughter’s name is Charlotte and we call her Char and Charlie.

I’m partial to Olive, which is why I suggested it but I do think Charlotte nn Charlie is adorable! Or nn Lottie.
I also am thankful you not only adopted, but adopted a breed that has been plagued with bad press. I’m done so much volunteer work with pitties and pittie mixes, and every single one of them has been the best dog…full of love and affection in spite of how they had been treat, super smart, eager to please.
Show us more pix if you can!

I like Nala and I think Charlie is cute as well.

Jane (I know someone with a dog named Jane, and it is such a cute doggie name)
Lottie (Short for Charlotte)
I think Charlie is cute for a dog too, but for some reason I don’t think your girl looks like a Charlie… but I’m just a random person on the internet, what do I know?

Great minds think alike 🙂
Pits are seriously the sweetest dogs!! Unfortunately they often fall into the hands of crappy irresponsible owners. Whatever you decide to name that cute girl will be perfect, I’m sure!

Alright, she is officially Charlie. 🙂
We were going through some training with her last night (she finally mastered sit, wooo!) and decided to try out some names. Daisy, Nala, Maggie, Molly, Charlie, and Jessie. When we said Charlie she leaned forward and licked my husband. Really, who can argue with that??
And now I leave you with the little wiggler sound asleep (and Bailey lurking around the corner). Because she’s freaking adorable!

Yaaaay love it!!
Not sure if you know this, but one of the reasons pits are so good at fighting and why they’re used for that is they’re extremely loyal to their owners and want to please. I have a good friend with a pit who was incredibly easy to train and could master tricks after like 5 tries (it helps that she’s incredibly food motivated!) because they want to please their owner, and get the dog cookie! I’m so happy for you all!!

This! I was just going to say how pitties are always so eager to please. They are extremely intelligent. I volunteered with one who was deaf. He was gorgeous. Anyway, he knew about 15 hand signals/signs. And it only took him a few days to learn them. 🙂
Well you are right…who can argue with a sloppy pittie kiss!
Charlie is adorable. I love that picture of her, and I hope you share more!!

@misspeanut: SHES SO SWEET AND CUTE!!! My parents have a lab/pit mix and he’s a ball of energy but I can’t remembering giggling so hard in my life than when he was sleeping with me and wouldn’t stop licking my face when he woke up. He’s just the sweetest thing and just wants everyone to always be happy. I think you’ll be so so happy 🙂
Give Charlie lots of pets from me.
I <3 anyone that loves pit mixes despite their crappy stereotype…
