You could try emailing them? or just be super casual when you call, you could always call say could you let me know by x day. Then that way it doesn’t seem like you are pressuring them

Definitely call them, but not until June 2nd.  Make sure you tell them you understand if they can’t come, but you just need a headcount for the caterer.

You can’t assume anything.  I’l call them or email (whichever you prefer) and mention that you need an answer for your caterer.

depends. You could text first then call a few days later. Or text prior to the RSVP date a reminder

It’s totally acceptable to hunt them down!  The poor manners are on THEIR side for not RSVPing, not yours for wanting to know how many people are coming to your wedding!

@ticatica:  Haha I can understand!  I’m in the same boat and have waaaay more than 8 who haven’t RSVPed!  Seriously just thinking of sending out a huge BCC e-mail saying “Hey, ya coming to the wedding or WHAT?!?!?”

You can always just say that you need to let the venue know. They should understand
