My husband had very few requests for his wedding day. Request number one: he wanted to be taller than me (meaning that I had to wear flats). After scouring the internet trying to find cute wedding flats, I finally decided to DIY. Here is a picture of my DIY strassed flats.

I’m a black shoe bride 🙂 Can’t wait to wear them! (I’ve been practicing around the house because I almost never wore heels before six months ago)

Here are mine! I love the bow in the back.

@Heatherloveskenny:  OMG, those are gorgeous!!  So unique too!  I’m wearing a flowered sash with a black accent in the middle.  Maybe I need your shoes Wink.  OH- I didn’t even see that the flower was a clip.  How cute!!

Yup the knock-off Manolo Blahnik “Something blue” Shoe from Sex and the City.

I fell in love with them when Carrie wore them, and then found these in a short heel and for $100 on Zappos. I bought them a year ago, and won’t be wearing them for another year. They were my first wedding purchase. I always knew I wanted royal blue shoes.

I LOVE them! Sooo comfy!

I am going with a basic 2.5 inch wedge, as we are getting married outside in the lawn. I am not trying to get any heels stuck in the grass and hell no on those funky a&& plastic heel caps!  These are so comfy, and still sexy! I even ran in them, yes RAN, to make sure I could boogie all night long and not end up with a broken hip Tongue out

@CupCakeMeg: just curious, but how did you go about altering your gown with such extreme heights between your shoes? Did you alter based off of the heels and then whatever drags during reception and flats just drags?
