I have a full eternity band (it just arrived YAY). We ordered it off the internet and it is too big too. How hard is it to size eternity bands? I am going to the jeweler that is sizing my e-ring on Monday to find out but wanted to ask here first. I could return it for a smaller size but I just don’t want the hassle of an internet return.

I was told that you should never resize an eternity band because the stones may come loose afterwards

It would be substantially easier to just get a new band if you are allowed to exchange it. Resizing eternity bands is possibe, but costly and difficult, and can jeopardize all the diamond settings by slightly changing the shape of the ring. You might have to deal with it at some point in the future, but you should start off with a ring that is the right size.

@tonights: I agree … And most Jewelers will just not do it because it’s difficult … Exchanging is the best way … But I’m assuming you ordered the same size your getting your e-ring sized to … Maybe your fingers were swollen due to heat or salt because of that band doesnt fit I’m assuming neither will your e-ring.. So double check on the sizing I usually size my finger several times at different time of the day because of heat and cold i know if it’s extra humid and hot my ring is scary to get off but when it’s average temps its perfect and the opposite for when it’s really cold

I knew it. Oh well. I will just have to return it then. I think it’s better anyway. I was hesitant to resize it.
