@sfchick:

Maybe you could find some second-hand frames and frame them to display at the reception?

If you want, you could even have people sign the backs of the frames, or the glass fronts, with sharpies as a guest book.

It sounds like you’ve already found a solution, but I also wanted to suggest that you could use them at your and your future husband’s place settings, either as napkins or placemats, depending on their size. I think they would be totally cute!

I do not think your sister was being malisious or intendeed you to google the towles to find out how much they cost. maybe you could use them/ display them for now then pass them down to the next brid in line (It could become a tradition).  I understand now you are seeing them as $50 but they are really a thoughtful gift from a sister who knew you needed a little pick-me-up saw them and thought of you.  I know it is frustrating when you have so much on your mind and dealing with money is difficult but family and friends only can bless you with the gifts they have your sister happened to bless you with a beauitbul thoughtful gift.

Sorry jumped the gun on my post and did not read all the way through. P.s. I love the idea of using them for your Wedding this is awesome, love the creativity.  Also I do not think anyone was trying to attack you although I am sure all of us would feel the same way in your shoes have fun looking at dresses 🙂

@OP- I think putting them in vintage frames is a great idea! It shows your sister that you loved them enough to include them on your special day. Also you can hang them on the wall afterwards and they won’t take up space! It’s a WIN WIN situation Laughing

They’re adorable! I’m sure she wanted to be sweet.
