(Closed) Antibiotics while pregnant?

@MsSparklyBee:  I took antibiotics right around week 7 for a gum infection. No problemo.

@MsSparklyBee:  I took them for recurring UTIs in the first few months, and then again both intravenously and by mouth after a serious car accident at week 26.  Little man is thriving, so I assume it was fine.  I worked with a midwife and had a home birth, and she was the one who prescribed the first course, so if even a super crunchy home birthing midwife says it’s okay…

I’m on antibiotics right now for a UTI, and I was also on a different one for the same reason at 5 weeks. I’m sure they wouldn’t give you anything that isn’t safe.

I took them for a UTI around 12 weeks or so and then again around 16 weeks for a horrible sinus infection. No problemo.

What type of bacteria is it? (I developed antibiotics at my last job).

I have a standing prescription for Macrobid for UTIs. It’s safe to take up to 37 weeks 🙂
