Not a super old setting (I think probably early 50s), but the diamonds were reset. It was FI’s grandmother’s. I can’t imagine anything else on my hand. Still thinking about bands and whether I want another antique to go with it or something more modern. I just love rings that have a history, even if you don’t know what it is.

yycbridetobe:  Oh my goodness I love love love your ring. Three stone was what I initially planned on and the size and proportion of yours is just perfect!

I did end up with an antique ring. I looked at so many but something was always not quite right until I found this one randomly at a antique fair. I don’t know the history of it but it’s a 1920’s setting and stone and I’ve never seen anything like it before or since purchasing it. Ring

My ring belonged to my great great grandmother. When my Fiance asked my mom for her blessing she gave it to him. It’s from roughly 1900. Little old grandma and her husband were married for over 50 years and she wore it everyday. Since then my grandmother my aunt and my mother have all worn it. At some point the center diamond was removed and then later reset incorrectly so we have to fix that when we get it sized for me.

I’m just excited I always loved this ting and hoped to have one like it as my engagement ring. I never dreamed IT would be my ring.

I wish I knew the history of my ring! My SO does matience for the apartments we live at. He walked into a vacant and it was just sitting there. Someone had just left it. All I know is it’s a victorian cluster mold. It’s something I never would have imagined for myself but I kinda feel like it was meant to be left for me😉 lol

I’m wearing my grandmother’s ring (and have the matching band for when we get married)
