I helped pick out my soon to be e-ring. It is an antique ring, but I don’t have any details on how old or anything. I do know that it is white gold. My guy thinks it "looks used" so I am suggesting that he go have it re-dipped. How much would this cost in general? Does anyone know. This is my ring:

It depends on where you are in the country and with whom you’re working. My friends who have to pay pay about $50-75 a go. But you should probably go to a jeweler who has experience with replating antique rings. That ring is beautiful, and it should be handled by a person you can trust!

Where in Arizona are you? If you’re in or near Tucson I can’t recommend MacGuire’s Jeweler on Wetmore enough. They work with sell both new and estate pieces, and have been fixing my family’s stuff for years (and trust me, there’s been a LOT of "stuff"). Even if you’re not from Tucson it might be worth a trip if you’re not too far.
P.S. They’ll be able to date and appraise your ring as well, as it seems that you don’t have an appraisal already as they usually include approximate dating on estate pieces. Good for insurance!
