sorry I need to rant a little,
I’m Irish and most every single celeration and get together revolves around alchohol.
Prepregnant, I would have been in the thick of things and “life and soul” of any party…
Now when we go out socially, I find the company of people from tipsy to steaming drunk JUST SO BLOODY TEDIOUS.
Tonight we are meeting friends for a rugby match in a pub- no interest in rugby, pubs end up way too busy and crazy after a few hours….
I would love to just not go but these are people I havent seen in a while and I have to make an effort- I refuse to become a pregnanct hermit
Not that I can do anything other than throw on some make up, do my hair/ wear some maternity monstrosity of an outfit and grin and bear it …
Rant Over (:)

aw. I’m sorry!
I think you can still go and have fun though! I’m not a drinker at all so I’m always the sober one at parties and get togethers. I find it fun to look at the actions of people who are tippy and/or drunk! hehe.

@cacamillis: urrgh…i have only been preggo for a few weeks so I can’t comment too much on that aspect BUT I never drink and I am always sober, just watchn everyone’s insanity…I get a sad feeling when I get invited to those things because you wanna go…but you kinda just want to stay home too….I say go: it’s better than hubby leaving you at home with the television.
