I had a 2 carat white sapphire ring,  and I actually sold it because I hated the stone. I didn’t find my sapphire to shine/sparkle at all and it was always dirty. However, mine was a Crappy solitare from overstock. Your buying from an awesome jeweler, and the setting is amazing,  I think your ring will be beautiful!  I’m sure if you don’t like the center stone for some reason she can easily switch it to moissanite or morganite

I have a white sapphire solitaire. A few thoughts

 – It does get dirty fast. BUT, I give it a gentle, v quick clean with a soft toothbrush, warm water and some cleaning solution every 2-3 days and it comes up super duper sparkly. I know this really bothers some people but it isn’t a big deal for me.

– I feel it acts completely differently to a diamond. I love it, but I do not compare it to diamonds. I don’t think it is a good ‘diamond alternative’ – it is a great, beautiful stone in its own right. Does that make sense?

– my ring is also rose gold and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way the white sapphire and rose gold look together. So, naturally, I LOVE the picture of your ring.

ANYWAY, very very exciting that it will likely soon be on your hand. My experience was that as soon as a saw my ring, I fell head over heels in love with it. Like, cannot-stop-staring-at-my-hand in love. I helped pick/design it (online), but had never seen a white sapphire in person! Like you, I was pretty nervous before it arrived but it all worked out.

This might sound a bit weird but here is what helped me with nerves/second guessing my choice. I just focused on – do I love this ring right now? YES. It took the pressure off, even thought I have no intention of ‘upgrading’ and it isn’t really something that is done in my culture/country. Maybe you might fall in love with a different stone in the future but who cares, cross that bridge if/when it comes!

I  also find myself drooling over her rings!  The one you have pictured is no exception either! I can’t wait to see some hand shots of that baby on your finger if that’s what you get!  I don’t think it will disappoint!
