@ECH258:  No, it shouldn’t look flimsy or cheap. My band is 2.3 mm and actually MORE substantial than a lot of my friends’ bands! GOOD LUCK. I’m sure you’ll love it. Mine for reference (.75 stone):

I agree! I think 2.5 is a good decision. Considering the size of your diamond…and yes your diamond will look bigger with a thinner setting. I think 2.5 will be perfect for you. You could go all the way down to 1.8 but if you want a dainty lookSmile I dont believe it’ll be too thin at ALL. Great choice!!

The band on my engagement ring is 2.5mm width too, plus it has a knife edge so it looks even thinner due to the point! It definitely doesn’t look flimsy. My engagement ring has been both 2mm and 3.8mm wide prior to my current e-ring, and this (2.5mm) is by far my favorite width. ESPECIALLY with my wedding band, which is 3.2mm. Smile

I have a 2mm band with a 1 carat stone (ring size is 5.25 and I have short fingers so I like thinner bands). A 2.5mm band will be lovely!

I love the look of a thinner band with a diamond and think it will look great! I have a 2mm and love the look of it with my stone. I think it will be beautiful with yours too and will really draw attention to your stone!
