I’ve been trying to lose weight for the wedding, but even with diet and excersise I’ve only gone down about 6lbs in 6 months! I’ve tried Jenny Craig, low-carb, and Weight Watchers. I did well on WW my first 3 weeks, but my last 4 visits I’ve stayed the same weight even though I’d been following the plan and working out. This made me super frustrated and I rebelled… I’ve been eating like crazy this past week and a half. My wedding is 3 months away and I am having to face reality that I’m gonna have to marry “fat”. I’m super thankful my fiance loves me and finds me attractive at my weight, but I’d like to get back on track with my diet(even if I don’t lose much) to at least not gain weight, and not feel guilty. Please encourage me or help by giving tips on how to stop eating out of anxiety! I need support, and thanks to all in advance!

Well, I use My Fitness Pal because then I can still eat whatever I want, but I have to be held accountable for it AND I am only alloted so many calories a day. It works for me (19 pounds down in over 3 months).
Obviously you know stressing out isn’t going to help you. Just take a few deep breaths, go for a walk every night, and listen to your body. I am an anxious eater, and once I got on a plan where I was accountable for the food I put in my mouth, I have done very well and controlled my eating.
Drink lots and lots of water, get lots of sleep, and exercise, but make sure you are NOT starving yourself. This is the reason I hated WW and Nutrisystem, which I lost 25 pounds on. I gained all 25 back within a few months because I didn’t know how to portion control.
You can do this, and you will be absolutely beautiful on your wedding day. Good luck!

@Imean: I know how you feel. I was able to lose 50lbs for my wedding in a little less than 8 months. I exercised, cut out all soda and most sweets, and watched what I ate. What really did help was cleansing with Isagenix. It’s kinda like Advocare. It isn’t cheap, but I was desperate. I don’t sell the stuff, but my cousin used it and dropped weight quickly. It is hard…like super hard. I’m an emotional eater, so breaking those bad habits took a lot of self control. One thing I can say, is of you stick to it about 95%, you will drop weight. I dropped 8lbs in my first cleanse, but I was working out too. Working out at first consisted of walking on a treadmill 5 days a week. I did about 2 miles each walk. I eventually started jogging, and ended up taking Crossfit classes just before the wedding. I would look into it of you are desperate and absolutely will not be happy unless you drop a couple of dress sizes. If not, then just be a healthier version of yourself and let that drive you. I was extremely overweight. I had never been that heavy in my life. I’m now past the wedding, but still working to maintain a healthier lifestyle than before. I don’t have to be a stick figure, but I want to be healthy.

A plus one for MyFitnessPal (MFP). I have never done Weight Watchers. But, from what I understand there are a lot of “0 point” items that actually do have calories. If you eat a deficit (which MFP calculates for you), you WILL lose weight.
Set an initial goal of logging everyday, no matter what (phone app makes it easy). That way, if you do gain or plateau, you won’t have the frustration of wondering what you did wrong.
