mrsbree:  I am! I went in on Monday and they found a perfect little baby(with a heartbeat!!!) measuring 6 week 1 day, but based on ovulation I should have been 7 week 2 days. We thing the baby just took forever to implant (I know when it implanted) and all will be good, but they want me to come back on Thursday to confirm that it is growing. It is so hard to wait, but this is one case where there is nothing you can do. I am sure it will all work out quite nicely!

I don’t have any personal experience with this but just wanted to say I can see how easy it is to be anxious but I’m sure everything will work out just fine πŸ™‚ Thinking about you and will be looking forward to reading your great news tomorrow that everything is on track!

mrsbree:  That sucks that nothing came up on the ultrasound.  Do you know when you ovulated?

Typically nothing shows up on the ultrasound until your HCG is at least 2000, or around when you are ~5 weeks pregnant, or three weeks past ovulation.  Based on the fact that you have long cycles and you think you ovulated late, its very possible you are not yet 5 weeks pregnant!  if so, nothing to worry about!

I hope your HCG keeps getting higher and FX for a sticky baby for you!

mrsbree:  I have long cycles too and am currently 3 weeks behind where my LMP EDD would have been. I was charting, so I knew that. The Drs. don’t believe you know your body until they see the proof on an u/s. And the whole time you totally knew you weren’t where they thought you were. Story of anyone’s life who has long cycles. πŸ˜‰

You are just still too early to see anything, that will change in another week or so. Your HCG and P numbers sound really good to me. My P was 24 at 4 weeks and 22 at 5 weeks. Progesterone fluxuates a bit which is normal. I don’t think it has to be 25 or above at all to be “normal”. Google some average HCG and P numbers for where you think you are in your pregnancy and I think you’ll be relieved with what you see.

I’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow and saw a beautiful little baby with a strong heart beat at my u/s at 7+5. You are in a waiting game now and it is hard to be patient, but your body will progress how it should and hopefully you’ll have a sticky little one and be able to see them in a week or so! FX for wonderfully increasing HCG numbers for you. And try to relax, I know it’s hard, but stress will not help baby or you. It will not change anything. Just take it easy and let your body do the work. πŸ™‚

The first ob appointment I had they just gave me a pap smear and than made an appointment for an ultrasound to make sure I was in fact pregnant.

Than lots of appointment after that they made me pee in cup, check baby heart beat, and etc.

mrsbree:  I just went for my early dating ultrasound yesterday and I should have been 6 weeks 6 days, the hospitals policy is that your hubby is not allowed in the room before 12 weeks and you are not allowed to see the screen. The U/S tech also said to me to hold off booking my 12 week U/S and then said ‘hint hint’, so I am currently freaking out over that.

I didn’t get to see anything so I am worrying until I get the results from my dr, and it will not be until next week!

I am hoping that I am MORE pregnant than 7 weeks but I fear that I will be told I’m much less pregnant.

A lot of Dr’s won’t even see patients before 12 weeks where I live because of this reason. Especially not an ultrasound. I had my very 1st appt. at 14 weeks + 4 days. It was a long wait, but I’m glad I just waited. At my appt. the Dr. Found the heartbeat in under 5 seconds, she also ordered an ultrasound to make sure my dates were on track and they were. I’d be scared too if I went on and they found nothing, but being your so early in pregnanCy it makes sense. Try to stay calm, it’s a waiting game. I’m excited you’re pregnant, congratulations! β™‘

Congratulations on your pregnancy!  It may just be too early to show up on the ultrasound since you have longer cycles.  I know its hard but try to relax and definitely keep yourself busy. Praying for good numbers for you! Keep us updated!

mrsbree: That seems like good news, congrats!! I hear you on the long cycles…. I didn’t fudge my LMP dates but as soon as I told the receptionist at the midwifery clinic my LMP I quickly rambled on ‘but I have long cycles I’m pretty sure I’m only just 4 weeks!” So she took that into account and I’m only going in for my first appt at 8 weeks (8 actual weeks, it would be 10 wks based on LMP).  I’ll set up my US appt to confirm dating then. The wait is killing me! But I also know how much more they can see on ultrasounds the further along you are.  Hoping your next scan shows you a perfect little bean πŸ™‚
