ONE MONTH until our big day!!! I still need to…
- Finish the bows for the church.
- Finish table runners, my future SIL is actually finishing them for me.
- Final meeting with the photographer and reception hall.
- Track down the few remaining RSVP’s.
- Finalize our programs.
- And order our favors (which are caramel apples so I can’t order them until it’s closer to the date)
I have 1/2 of the bridesmaid gifts and I got the mothers gifts in. My garter was shipped. Just waiting for the groomsmen gifts, the other half of the bridesmaid gifts, and the gifts for the grandparents to come in. It’s almost here! I’ve been planning this wedding for a little over a year. It’s been a blast, but I’m ready to marry the love of my life. How much more do you have left to finish bees? Share your thoughts and progress.
We’re in the home stretch!

It is both so exciting and so overwhelming to me that we are only month out!
Here’s what I have left:
- track down a couple of RSVP’s and then plug them in to my seating chart (really just make changes if they are not coming)
- write names and table numbers on escort cards
- finish assembling my centerpieces
- get FI’s suit dry cleaned
- finish music list for DJ
- final meetings with DJ, caterer, rental company, and photographer
- get marriage license
- buy second part of FI’s gift
- write vows
- buy all of the beer and nonalcoholic drinks/mixers (we already have the liquor/wine/champagne)
- BM/GM/parent gifts are purchased but still waiting for them to come in so I can package and wrap them
- make my menu sign
- pick up my dress
I feel a little better having written all of that down (not as daunting as it seems in my head), but I feel like I’m forgetting so many things! We got engaged 10/12/2014 so we’re about 10.5 months in on the planning. I am ready to be done with planning and to be married to my FI! And to go on the honeymoon…I am sooo excited for that!

completely forgot we still need to get a marriage license as well haha. That would be important to have! It does feel better typing it all it, seems like less than what you think you need to do huh? You’ve had less time than me, looks like you’ve been making good time 🙂 good luck and relax as much as you can this month. It’ll be here before we know it!!

Yay! I’m a 10/03/2015 bride! 29 more days gals!! ahhh! I have to place the deposit on the cake (tonight), make the favours (pumpkin spice hot cocoa mix), and write out the escort cards and get the programs printed (Labour Day wknd project). We have our final meeting at the venue next weekend and met with our officiant last night to finalize the ceremony and hand over our vows. We are pretty close to being done! I have small stuff to do like wrap the attendant gifts, and pick up wine for the rehearsal dinner and food for everyone who is getting ready the morning of. I booked three days off before the wedding, so hoping that’s enough time for the last minute stuff. OH! Almost forgot I pick up my dress from the alterations shop on Sunday!!! eeep! so excited to see it in all of it’s glory!!
Good luck with the rest of planning everyone:)

Technically I’m getting married on the 2nd, but our reception is the 3rd. We just changed it 2 months ago. Orginally getting married June 2016. So I’m in a mad dash to get things done.
Luckily it’s at our home. But I paid the rest down for table/chair/linen rentals today.
We’ve been doing some extra landscaping in our yard to pretty it up a little.
Fiance has been awesome when I told him I want lights from our house to the fence. He’s been in trees and on the roof and it’s finally done. He’s the best!
I’ve done a ton of DIY just need to finish up my glitter vases for centerpeices.
My dress is almost finished being altered. FIs new suit is ready to go. Just need to get his tie.
I need to buy shoes still.
I’m freaking out that it won’t be ready.
My 25th birthday is next week and so is our 5year anniversary. Sadly we won’t get to do anything big because the wedding is taking over. So I’m a little bummed, BUT I’ll be a WIFE soon! It’s been a long time coming so I’m pumped for that.

Oh my, that’s a big date jump. But it sounds like you’re doing well for such little time to plan. Plus it sounds like your fiance is being a big help, which is great! My fiance has been such a wonderful help as well. I also have glitter for my centerpieces. I have made glitter mason jars. It sucks that you can’t do anything big for your birthday and your anniversary, but you’re right, you’ll be a wife soon!! Good luck with the rest of your planning! Oh and happy anniversary and birthday to you as well 🙂

Well I picked up my dress this weekend from the alterations shop and it is absolutely perfect! I am sooooo in love with it. I know it sounds silly, but I’m a plus size bride and did not imagine liking my wedding dress, let alone loving it! Also got the escort cards done and ordered the cake. I feel a little panicked that I’m almost finished…feels like I’m forgetting something!

I’m a 10/3 bride! Where did the time go?!? I went from feeling like we had so much time left to feeling like it’s too late to change anything (which is kind of a nice feeling, hah!) I really can’t believe how close we are. Now I just need to hope that it stays warm and dry in Massachusetts just a little bit longer… 🙂

10/3 bride here too! I can’t believe how close it is!! Have to finish up the timeline for the photographer, get the welcome bags together (have everything, just need to put them in the bags), ahh what else?! Programs are printed. Escort cards and table numbers are being finished. Marriage license picked up. Have to send out invites for the rehearsal dinner and sunday brunch, but those are regrets only reply so that should be ok. Two people haven’t replied at all, verbally or the tradiitonal way. Oh have to finish seating chart!!
Can’t wait for 10/3 and can’t wait till honeymoon cruise 10/31!!! 😀

I am a fellow plus size bride! I didn’t think I’d like myself in a wedding dress either, but I love my dress as well. It compliments my body, never thought I’d find a dress to do that. You took the words out of my mouth, I am almost done and I feel like I shouldn’t be. That I’m forgetting something. But I’m trying not to stress about anything. Enjoy these last few weeks of planning 🙂
I agree, I feel like it was just a few weeks ago I was saying that we had still a lot of time, now we are weeks away. Too crazy! I hope the weather holds out for you. I’m hoping the fall weather finally hits Illinois so I can have a chilly but sunny day for the wedding. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for both of us 🙂
We are meeting up with our photographer Sunday. I think I have our timeline all planned out haha. We will see. I’ve written down all the shots we want atleast. I’m hoping to have our programs within next week. A coworker of mine who is in graphic design is doing ours but she’s been so busy lately. We picked up our marriage license on Wednesday, I was so excited! I’m still hunting down a few RSVP’s so I can have the final meeting with the reception hall. The RSVP’s have been the only thing that have stressed me out, but I’m finally getting things in order. A cruise sounds great! I can’t wait to be in Hawaii for our honeymoon! Have a great time finishing up your planning over the next couple of weeks 🙂

futuremrsc10315 — We have a graphic designer at work who graciously worked on the programs, and now the table numbers and escort cards. Once she’s done with the escort cards- we are putting the names of who is sitting at each table which I’m glad because I would hate to change my mind, and have to make her change it.
I can’t believe how some people don’t feel the need to reply, even if they aren’t coming to the wedding!! Kinda hoping someone from those families gets married, because I might hold onto their reply for an extra amount of time.

Haha good idea! I was shocked at how many people we had to track down. I guess it’s just because I’ve always been the person to send back RSVP’s as soon as I get them in the mail. Oh well, almost all but 5 are tracked down.
It’s always nice to know someone personally to help out with the programs and such! I’m glad we both had that option!

I’ll have my fingers crossed for you too! <3

I goofed up when purchasing the grooms gifts. I put the wrong name for one of the beer mugs, and didn’t realize it until we got them in the mail yesterday. So now we have to pay for another one and shipping. But atleast the seller assured me it would be here before October 2nd. My bachelorette party is this weekend, two people have backed out already. But i’m not worried about that. Last week we got our marriage license, finished the church decor, had our final meeting with the photographer, ordered our favors (with the pick up day being September 30th), and finished a big portion of the reception hall decor. All I have left to do is hot glue flowers onto half of our centerpieces, won’t take long at all. And the table runners need to be finished, only 7 more to go. Everything is coming into place. I’m hoping to hear back from the person doing my dress alterations so I can do my final dress fitting. Next week is our meeting with the reception venue to give them our final number for food. I can’t believe how close it is. We’ve hit the teens in number of days until the wedding. WOO HOO!! I can’t wait for the big day!
