- Wedding: September 2014
I will be under 35, and it will not be my first time. I just wanted to say that I respect all of the ladies on here who waited to get married for the first time at 35 or above. I got married at 22 for the first time, and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Although, I have been blessed with a wonderful son due to that relationship, I can admit that I was not ready. I thought I was and I made the mistake of picking the wrong man because of it.
If I could do it all over again I would have just had my son out of wedlock. I was seperated for 5 years before I could officially divorce him. He is a deadbeat, and I was hurting for money so I just could not afford it (guess who was the breadwinner out of that relationship, yes me). Oddly enough he was 13 years older than me, but was a walking piece of garbage. If I had been older I would have never given him the time of day, let alone married him!
I am a totally different person, and I would not make those same mistakes again. When we are young people tell us we have time to do things and we do not listen. We like to rush, and do everything right now. I think we should take our time, the good days will come! Congrats to all of you ladies! I still wish I would have traveled more and just enjoyed doing my own thing. I know it would have been worth the wait!
