@MsBryt:  Those cake toppers are adorable!!!! I will refrain from commenting on the elephants. πŸ™‚  They’re cute, but I’m from the other school.

Alabama brides! I’m new to the Wedding Bee, and it is nice to see some Southern Ladies planning the day of their dreams. I love looking at the photos~ so keep them coming. It always gives me ideas for cake toppers.

We had a beautiful wedding at The Caribe in Orange Beach, Alabama. It wasn’t ‘toes in the sand’ but we soon realized that was going to create more trouble than we needed. We had a fabulous day by the lazy river . . . over looking the beach. Cool

Hey ladies! How’s the planning going? I’ve got the dress, the venue, the date (we moved it up another week due to cold weather), the hairsylist (my future uncle), the groom’s cake, ceremony and reception layout planned, a time, & our attendants.

I’ve got appointments set up for bridesmaids dresses, and am working on appointments for florist, baker, photographer, and dj.

I’ve also got a HUGE checklist and a wedding planning binder that I’m constantly updating.

Picked out our bridesmaids dresses this past weekend. My dress:

My sister’s dress:

(We’re going to shorten it a bit and maybe replace the flower with a brooch)

And my MOH’s dress:

(It has tiny rhindstones in the center of the flowers on the strap. We will have this be the same above-the-knee length as the other dress.)

They will also be carrying lit lanterns instead of bouquets down the aisle, and hanging them on shepards hooks on either side of our ceremony area. And I’m going to make them bracelets like these:

I’ve got e-mails in to a cake maker, but just found out my Maid/Matron of Honor is friends with the owner of another bakery in town with beautiful cakes, so I may end up going with them. We have our first dance song picked out, the song we leave the ceremony from, my FI’s entrance song, and a couple of random reception songs. I’m working on figuring out what me and my girls are walking down the aisle to. Hmm… I’m sure I’m leaving something out… Oh well. I’ll think of it later.

@MrsCoachBtoBee: Thank you! I’m quite fond of it. Lol. The picture is of me in the sample (which is a suze too small). My actual dress won’t get in until the end of January. The holidays are flying by, but man, January is going to be the longest month ever waiting for it to get in. lol.

@spoiledvamp27:  It doesn’t look a size too small! πŸ™‚  But I bet you couldn’t breathe lol.  It will probably get here early.  They told me something crazy like 6 months and it came in 3.

Here’s mine:

@MrsCoachBtoBee: Yeah, I had a couple of the people trying to convince me to go ahead and get the six but I really felt like I was crammed in there and didn’t want to stress about it not being able to fit on the wedding day since each time I tried it on, it got harder to zip.

Your dress is beautiful! I love the rouching…. is that how you spell that word? Its so flattering, and the small areas of sparkle are so classy πŸ™‚
