@HisWifey2012: I was thinking about it but, I already have so much planned I am afraid it will only confuse me and cause me to change my mind on things (which I have already done on my own without any outside influence, lol)

@HisWifey2012: I purchased 2 dresses over the weekend and now I want to go and try more on – I think I need to be placed in rehab or something at this point, lol!

Recently wed, Baltimore bride here!  My reception was at the Belvedere and it was amazing!  The great thing about their ballrooms is that they are such gorgeous spaces that you don’t need much in the way of flowers on the tables.  We used potted orchids and votive candles and everyone loved them.  They loved it even more when they got to take home the orchids at the end of the night 🙂

@loves day: Love the Walters! That’s where hubby and I went on our first date! 🙂

I live in HoCo now. Transplanted to the area from Philly 5 years ago. Am now staying since hubby’s fam is all over Maryland. We got hitched at the Tea Room of Gambrill State Park. Gorgeous and highly affordable venue if you need something for a smaller wedding.

Hello Ladies!

I’m also a 6/9/12 bride Smile! I was born and raised in Baltimore and still live there in Charles Village. I am however going outside of the city for my wedding. My venue is Hebron House, located in Ellicott City. Got a great price for the use of the indoor and outdoor space so I;m excited about that but it does leave us to do alot on our own (food, drinks, tables, chairs, etc.) but I think its worth it. Hope everyone’s plannign is going well!

Hey Ladies!

So glad I found this thread!  I am originally from Boston but moved to Baltimore County 2 years ago.  Fiance and I are getting married in April 2012 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.  We are having the ceremony outside (weather permitting) on the terrace, cocktail hour in the Transportation Gallery and the reception in the Decker Gallery.  So excited!

I’m not a Baltimore bride (and I’m already married), but our photographer is from Baltimore.  I highly suggest him, his work is amazing.  So if any of you are looking for a photographer, check out Daniel McGarrity.

Hello all!

Another Baltimore bride is present! We’ll be doing our ceremony and reception at The Intercontinental Harbor Court. Fiance and I are both transplants from out of state, which means most of our family is also. So, we wanted a place to kind of keep them all within easy distance of restaurants/shops, etc. Our photographer is from DE, but doesn’t charge travel fees, is new so is still reasonably priced and just won TheKnot best of 2012, please ask if anyone would like info! Thanks for all the inspiration given already!

Hey Bmore ladies! My Fiance went to JHU for grad school and went to Stevenson for undergrad. He used to live on Greenway off St Paul- beautiful area! We live in Columbia and are putting offers on homes in northern Silver Spring now.

We’re getting married Sept 8th at the Hotel Monaco on Charles, right by the inner harbor. It’s flanked by the place my parents met and the ballroom where they married!

Vendors: in house catering, ace of cakes wedding cake, Musicmasters DJ, dress from Bridal Boutique of Columbia, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from David’s, flowers (probably) from Violets Florists, rehearsal dinner at Tir Na Nog

I need to reread this thread through. I’m currently in the market for a photographer (prefer $2k and under, knowing it’s typically $2.5k and up) and a male officiant for $350. I’ll check out the suggestions you all made in the thread, but feel free to add more!

My fiance and I are both from Columbia, MD and plan on getting married in Baltimore this Fall.  We are thinking about the Baltimore Museum of Industry but they do not have any Saturdays available so we are thinking about a Sunday wedding.  Any recommendations for vendors?  Anything specific to BMI? Thanks!!!
