Not sure where this thread should go, but Darling Husband and I enjoy trying new beers. What are your favorite brews?
I am enjoying a Lost Rhino Brewing Company Face Plant IPA right now. My favorite beer would have to be Cottonwood Pumpkin Ale, and I can’t wait until it is available again in the fall.

I love beer! Definitely my drink of choice!
darker-Lost Coast Downtown Brown (we had a keg of this at our wedding, yum!)
just plain delicious-Maui Brewing Co. CoCoNut Porter. (I hate that it’s like $12 for a 4-pack of cans at BevMo)
I am not enjoying anything currently, because I’m knocked up. But I will most definitely return to this thread in about 8 months to add some new beers to my tasting wishlist.

@NCSUchick27: Also a beer drinker here! For a good summery brew, Thomas Hooker Brewery Watermelon is tasty.

@leenh78: I will have to look for that one. 21st Amendment Brewery has a watermelon beer called Hell or High Watermelon that is pretty good.

@NCSUchick27: If you like Blue Moon or Tucher, try out Julius Echter Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel. It’s a dark wheat beer.

@NCSUchick27: The brewery is based in CT — here’s the URL: http://www.hookerbeer.com

I love ommegang Hennepin! All time favorite!

I love beer, drinking might be my only hobby. Elysian Green Peppercorn Saison is a beer I had recently that I just cannot get out of my head. Stone Arrogant Bastard is my everyday drinking beer.

I used to try new beers all the time when Darling Husband was drinking but he stopped over a year ago and I’ve become a lot less adventurous.
Most of my favorites are local to New England: Allagash White & Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale are both from Maine. Another favorite, Wachusett Country Ale is actually brewed about 10 minutes from me. Very convenient for growler fills. 🙂

Mmm! I love beer! Fiance and I are having our reception at a microbrewery (Schlafly) – we’ll have 10 different beers on tap and I’m so freaking excited! I’m actually terrible and remembering beer names that I like (unless I instagram them, ha!), though, so that makes me the worst beer person ever. One of my favorites I’ve had in a while, though, is Lagunitas’ Wilco Tango Foxtrot. Just good, easy drinking. I’m bummed I didn’t buy more when it was out. I tend to like malty, darker (but not dark!) beers – I love oktoberfest brews the most. I also love basically every Schlafly beer – I’m a local girl at heart.
I was actually just at a local resturant with Fiance – they brew some of their own beers (but they are not a microbrew – they just will brew some in the basement and then pour it) – they had a hibiscus wheat and it was SO freaking good. I love hibiscus, but tend to hate wheat beers, but it was so delicious. And pink, which was fun.
Has anyone had the Southern Tier Creme Brulee Milk Stout? I have one in my fridge now – I’m scared to try it for some reason (it sounds good…but also weird….)

I really enjoy trying different craft beers, but have had to take a break while adjusting to antidepressants. I’ve had a drink or two this week and it seems to be going much better than when I first started meds, so hopefully I can resume my hobby soon. My favorite bar has 52 craft beers on tap and they rotate them for every season. Some of my favorites are:
Left Hand milk stout and Left Hand nitro milk stout
Left Hand good juju
Lift Bridge farm girl saison
Lake Front Oktoberfest
and Duchesse de Bourgogne which is a sour and tastes like nothing else I’ve ever tasted. It’s a bit like getting kicked in the mouth, it’s so intense, but it is really good. Just don’t drink it with food.

Yay beer! My fiance and his brother are brewing a special wedding double IPA for our big day
My all time fave is Dogfish Head Raison de Etre

@mamadingdong: Have you ever been to the brewery? It’s great!
