I’ve been thinking lately of a way to get many of the benefits of platinum without the platinum cost and have discovered palladium, a metal in the platinum “family” (as in periodic table family) that is resizable (unlike tungsten) and quite resillient similarly to platinum. I was looking for a comfort-fit 3mm band…. in platinum on blue nile’s website, I found it for $730 or so before tax, where I found the same style of palladium band for a little under $400.
Just wondering if any bees have chosen palladium and if they can offer any advice/feedback. I have a platinum band for my e-ring and have a pretty severe nickel allergy which is why I’m staying away from gold and silver. Thanks for your advice in advance, ladies

My e-ring and band are both palladium. I’ve been wearing my e-ring for more than a year now without issue, and my band for 5 months now.

Our rings are palladium. Mine has held up fine and I haven’t had any problems, but my husband’s band split after about 4 months of wear. We think it was because the ring was re-sized improperly. The company was really great and re-made his ring in the correct size and knock on wood-haven’t had any problems for the past 2 months. My engagement ring is white gold.

My E-Ring is palladium and if I dont go with rose gold, my wedding band will also be in palladium! I love it! I choose it because I didnt want to deal with the replating and I don’t like the heaviness of platinum. It was a match made in heaven!

I did! Fiance has an allergy and that’s the metal we both liked best, I don’t have them yet so no pics. My 2 best friends have palladium wedding bands (she also has a palladium engagement ring) and have been married for 3 years and they both look great!
