Looking for advice from bees that have finished Insanity. I’m halfway through week 2 of the max interval training, and I think I’m hitting the frustration wall. During the first set of discs, it started out hard, but I never had to take a break during the warm up, and by the last week I never took a break during any of the video.
With the max intervals, I have yet to do the warm up without requiring one or two breaks. This really frustrates me. Also my muscles are burning a lot more and I am having a harder time pushing through in this set. Did anyone else experience this?
It’s also daunting to be doing a full 60 minute workout now, and I find myself having a hard time staying motivated. I know I won’t stop, I really want to finish this and I already have asylum to start after I’m done this, but I get home and really don’t want to workout for an hour. I never wanted to miss a video in the last set.
I’m also frustrated that I am not seeing any results on my body and my clothes aren’t fitting any differently, I really hoped I would have lost more by now considering I was never working out, and now I’m consisttenly working out 6 days a week, eating the same foods I was before. It’s hard to stay motivated when you aren’t seeing any results.
Ugh, I know I’ll push through I’m just hitting the wall, so to speak.

I’ve done two rounds. Don’t feel discouraged. Month two is supposed to be much harder, and that’s typically where people see the most changes. You still have a couple weeks to go, and you’ll keep improving through these next two weeks.
You say you were eating the same foods as before. What exactly are you eating? Most of your results will come from nutrition.

After I wrote this, I did a lot better in my workout last night and only took a small break in the third interval of the warm up.
Most mornings I eat a Chobani yogurt and then a banana around ten. For lunch I usually have a turkey or grilled chicken wrap with lettuce, tomatoes, two cheese slices and mustard. Dinner always varies but it usually involves some kind of chicken and we like asian dishes, so it’s usually stir fried chicken with veggies with either a soy sauce or lemongrass sauce. Other times it’s homemade baked chicken nuggets, or pasta with evoo, tomatoes, olives, and feta.
I tried to follow the nutrition guide but I don’t like seafood, any kind, not shrimp, salmon, tuna etc. I don’t ilke avacado, beans, beef so the suggestions they make that I cna eat are things I pretty much already eat. I don’t really know what to remove or improve with my nutrition, and what I already eat is getting boring.
Ok on Friday I have a slice of tomato and basil pizza…
I know I’ll keep getting stronger I just don’t feel like I am seeing/will see the results of all the people on the beach body boards and don’t know what to change up to see better results.

honestly it sounds like you might not be eating enough. i finished insanity a few weeks ago and i remember how exhausted i was at the beginning of month two. I understand that you don’t like a lot of the foods in the nutrition guide, but the theory behind it is what you need to be following at least. 5 meals a day…and month two add more carbs. Trust me, your body needs it. If 5 meals a day is too hard, look into shakeology (fast, easy, and really healthy) or some of the quicker meals to make (ie: cereal, salad, pb&j, etc.). Your body really needs fuel every couple of hours while doing insanity, especially during month two. Look into the substitution list if you don’t like the exact meals that they lay out for you (I did that a lot). In all honesty, I noticed a huge difference energy wise when I followed the meal plan and drank shakeO and when I didn’t. But just make sure you are giving your body enough food and the right kind of food. It’s so important.
Anyways, congratulations on making it this far with Insanity! That’s fantastic! I just started to do Asylum myself. You should let me know when you start it :] Are you a member of team beachbody?
