I just found out that I’ve been accepted into a 2 year program for radiologic technology. I’m really excited, but kind of nervous and I don’t really know what to expect. Has anyone been through a similar program? Was it what you thought it would be and was the stress level pretty high?

@MrsMonty11: I haven’t, but I just wanted to say how exciting this is and wish you all of the best! 🙂

I’m in it now, for diagnostic medical sonography, but I’m in a 4 year program. It’s the same thing, I just do radiology for the last two years of school and get my gen eds out of the way first.
I feel like I’m in a radiology sorority with how many girls are doing it… expect longgg hours doing clinicals, a lot of studying, and a lot of time on your feet 🙂 with a starting salary of 50k+ that’s not too bad 🙂

@agdluvstx: Awesome, thanks girl! For the program that I will be in, it was required to already have all pre-requisites completed before you could apply so that’s why it’s only two years. But what you described is pretty much what I was expecting! I’m not looking forward to the studying aspect as its been a few years since I was in college, but I’m looking forward to the hands on learning. Thanks again for sharing your experience!
