@squishybee:  You should definetly check out http://www.betterthandiamond.com messege boards. There are tons of threads about various diamond alternatives. I have read alot of negative reviews about diamond nexus.

There are a bunch of comparasions between the diamond nexus lab stones and asha’s and from the pics asha’s are way nicer. I don’t own either stones, this is just information I have read on betterthandiamond.

Diamond Nexus stones are basically glorified cubic zirconia (with nothing extra like Asha’s coating or color treatments) which means, for the price, you could be getting a lot more.

I have purchased from them and was not pleased with what I received. You could do so much better for your money.

@GoldfishPie:  + 1

Go with asha if you are looking for a diamond sim but go for moissanite if you like the aspects of it such as the double refraction.

I have purchased from DNL over the years & as of early 2012, I have noticed damages to the surface of my stones (several rings & pendants)..  DNL have replaced the stones, & after several months of normal wear, similar wear/worn marks appear again..  & since the purchases were done over several years span, refunds are no longer available to me.

I have posted pictures of my DNL pieces along w/ stone damages on my Facebook page if anyone want to read my story & see them for yourself.

I have contacted the WI BBB & after several months of communication, we have not settled.  I assumed a REFUND is out of the question due to the negative press, postings I’ve made on their Facebook page (which they have BLOCKED me from) & message boards..

But all in all, I love my DNL ring settings & they are solid/heavy..  especially the styles I’ve picked.  Gold prices weren’t as high as they are today, & though the DNL stones are showing wear/damages, I am in search of replacement stones..  I have looked into Amora Moissy, but they are on back order..  So I suppose I have to wait a couple of months…  but I have my heart set on the BLUE AMORA, which has a patent US block until 2016 !

Because of I own so many DNL pieces, I had an independent Lab tested a Certified Signature Series Stone..   & yes, the result was a CZ..  & no, ot did not have a “laser inscribed with a unique Maker’s Mark serving as the stone designer and cutter’s personal signature and certification that the simulant is absolutely ideal in every aspect”…   I cannot attest to the fact that all their stones are CZ, but only the one that the lab tested was a CZ.

My advice, stay clear from DNL…  & if you do buy from DNL, at least I have tried to warn you.  I just wished I knew then, what I know now..  it could of save me thousands of dollars..

they say a picture is worth a thousand words..  this is a close up photo of my CARAMIA ring from DNL..  If this normal wear is acceptable to you, then by all means, go w/ DNL
