I didn’t look at any or have any preconceived notions. I do love what I got though! And I had made it generally known I’d like to either use my grandmother’s engagement ring or use the center diamond from it, so he did acquire that ring and reuse her diamond.

I didn’t, I had no idea he was going to propose at all. And I can’t imagine a more gorgeous ring than the one he picked for me πŸ™‚

Me! I looked at some online, by myself, just to understand what is out there.  I didn’t know anything about diamonds! But I never discussed rings with PG or showed him anything I liked.  When he proposed, I was really surprised, and I was delighted to see that he picked out a setting and stone (separately) that is perfect for me, and he did it all by himself.

I didnt pick out a ring or even know. I had made a few comments on a couple of rings we would see in magazines but my Darling Husband picked it out himself and did a wonderful job. I love my ring!

Me πŸ™‚ I didn’t even know he was going to propose. I love it thought even more because he choose it for me on his own.

I did not look, never showed him rings I liked, or discussed rings at all. We talked about marriage but it was a completely organic when he proposed. I was extremely surprised and he did a fantastic job in picking out a ring.

Nope, I had never looked at rings, had never talked to him about rings, and had almost no idea he was going to propose (it had crossed my mind but I wasn’t anxiously waiting and I certainly didn’t see it coming when it happened). I guess we’d had a few really vague conversations over the years when other people got engaged about their rings, but nothing really specific to me. He did a great job though–I really think I love the ring even more because he picked it by himself (maybe I wouldn’t think that if he hadn’t done such a good job πŸ˜‰ )

@rach122:  My fiance picked out the ring on his own and I didn’t know he was going to propose. The ring is lovely

I didn’t even really care much about rings before we decided to get married.  I love jewelry and love rings but didn’t really look too much at e-rings.  I became obsessed after we started planning though.

@sunnywoods:  This exactly.  πŸ™‚  It feels so much more special this way to me. He even asked me if I’d like to exchange my ring for something different. I said “No way!”  This is what he took so much time and thought picking out for me, this is the ring I will die with.

Like a year before our engagment when we first started talking about getting married I  looked alot. Emailed a couple of things I liked to Fiance. But in the end he picked it all out all by himself. I love it so much, everything I wanted in a ring and then some. πŸ™‚
