My husband to be is set on a stainless steel wedding band. He says he will find a high quality one, but the only ones I find are like $6! I want him to have this ring forever and I don’t know anything about this metal besides the fact that my watches have it. Do any of you have SO’s that have a stainless steel ring? Tell me about it!

This company is amazing and I promise I don’t work for them, lol! There are 881 positive reviews for a reason. And engraving is included in the price (you can skip the ugly outside engraving and just do it on the inside). Stainless steel scratches, but so does gold. I think they have a variety of widths and styles:

My fiance is getting a stainless steel ring! He wanted something that he wouldn’t feel nervous about scuffing or breaking or losing. He’s also a tattooist, so he was concerned about constantly wearing and changing gloves all day, and possibly nicking the softer metals with his machines. We are having a jeweler make one for us, custom, not sure of the cost yet.

We really considered getting a stainless steel band, but really for the reason that it is incredibly cheap and replaceable. It is very durable and will stay shiny and is pretty strong, but does scratch easily. Fiance and I sometimes work in the operating room, so we are around stainless steel instruments all day. He is constantly needing to remove his ring to operate and admittedly is not very careful about protecting the ring when he’s active with his hands. So I’d rather replace an inexpensive ring, than a ring that cost a fortune. Most likely, He is the one who will be getting ring “upgrades” every couple of years 🙂

Thanks guys! The main reason I don’t really want the stainless steel is because of the replacement option. I feel like if its not at least sort of expensive he will lose it!! I like the idea of having a ring forever. Although I suppose I might eventually upgrade. I don’t know!
