The reason why i’m asking this is because I’m afraid that i’ve reached the age (i’m 27 btw) to get facial piercings. I have tattoos and i’m getting antsy to get another one but instead I’d like to get a piercing because it’s less expensive and not permanant lol. I’ve had the monroe, bottom lip, dimple and I currently have a barely noticable nose piercing.
I’m really debating between getting a monroe piercing or my bottom lip again. Darling Husband wants me to get my dimple piercings again but they are SO much upkeep.
But is it too high school? Darling Husband doesn’t mind but I don’t wanna look crazy haha.

i love piercings & had all the above facial piercings ( not all at once ) but since i’m older (i just turned 26 ) & have a child i toned it down. now all my piercings are under my clothes 😉

I have my nose pierced, I wear a tiny crystal stud but I only wear it every once in a while now.
I do think as far as piercings, tattoos, etc. go you should always just do what you want. Who cares what other people think?!

I had my lip, nose, and the back of my neck all done but I’ve taken them out. I started feeling too old for it but I sort of miss my nose now! I might get it redone here soon! Do whatever feels right to you and is ok for your job!

I have a nose piercing and I’m 26. I’ve had it since I was 16. I wear a small diamond nose stud sometimes – usually when I’m wearing cultural attire.

I have my nose pierced and I’m 27. My Fiance loves it, and i feel like nose piercings are so mainstream now. I wear a tiny diamond stud in it.

Why not? Just as long as it’s not a problem for work etc.

I’ve had my eyebrow pierced for many years now. I’m 40 *something* 😉 I take it out for work, and pop it when the mood strikes me

Thanks girls! It seems like we’ve all had our noses pierced at one point lol. My job lets have tattoos, crazy hair (my hair is purple) and piercings so it’s no problem. I guess i’m not sure which piercing to get…bottom lip or monroe. Here’s a pic of me maybe you ladies can help me decide? Sorry it’s so big lol.

I had my nose pierced and I took it out a year ago, actually I think I forgot to put it back in one day b/c I was new at my job and had taken it out. It’s closed and I miss it SO much!

I’m 27 and I have a lower lip piercing and 12 earrings (various cartilage piercings as well as stretched earlobes). In my time I’ve had two lip piercings, tongue, nostril and bridge (I LOVED my bridge piercing but couldn’t keep it during placement at uni). I love dimple piercings but don’t think I could carry them off.
If you love it then go for it.

@kryssbride: I would say it really depends on your job. I work with lawyers and important people all day, so it really would not fly in my office environment.
I think 27 is getting a bit old unless you’re working in that subculture (or whatever it’s called), you know like the tattoo artists w. 00 gauge ears etc. all seems to be part of the territory.

@kryssbride: Just saw the pic you posted. This might be unpopular, but I think you’re very pretty as is, and I don’t see how making another hole in your face will improve your looks. Just my 2 cents.

I voted yes, although I’m not 25 for another 3 weeks
I have my nose, monroe, tragus, and 3 in each earlobe, plus one other non-facial piercing.
Like others, I’ve had my nose pierced since I was 16. My boss didn’t notice it for 18 months, so when he told me he didn’t like it and to remove it, I said if it took him 18 months to notice it obviously wasn’t offensive and it was staying! I got my monroe done when I was 20. I don’t see myself taking them out for a very long time, if ever. They’re just me. It’s very rare that anyone comments on them and I work in local government.

Lip pierced and I’m 27. I also have my tongue pierced and 15 ear piercings. Tats and piercings are pretty accepted in my field (social work/homeless youth services).
