@Pixie26: I won’t be working as late as you, at least you’ve got much of the night. Will you be going out?

@Pixie26:  Ugh, I HATE that. I switched shifts at work to make sure I’m off, and now I’m working 4 12 hour shifts in a row just so I can have it off. I’m staying at a fancy hotel room with DH. So what does DH do? He picks up a shift and has to work! He gets off at 3p, but still. Check in time is 4p, and now he’s going to be tired! >:O I guess it doesn’t matter, as long as I can be sipping pink champagne from a Jacuzzi when the ball drops 😉

I’ll be working until 5pm, because the powers that be have decided to treat it like a regular day. I’m not pleased, but at least I’m off for New Years.  I also know it could be worse.

I work in the restaurant industry, so we will always be open for NYE. I probably won’t be done with work until about 1am NY day.

No, but my husband works (hospital RN) 7 pm to 8 am on NYE  :/  So much for smooching at midnight….

Not me, but DH is on call so we were unable to make any plans this year. Booooo. Hopefully he won’t get called in so we can at least have a nice evening in just the two of us, but if something goes down it looks like I will be hitting the champagne by myself this year. 😉

I’m a bartender/bar manager at a super popular bar/restaurant, so weekends (especially Fridays), and nights like New Years Eve don’t really exist to me. I’ll be working that day 2pm-4am. This will be two years in a row now.
