Oh yea, twin city here. I have been growing mine since August for the wedding and it IS getting longer, but it’s such a pain in the butt to style and maintain! After the wedding, I will definitely be taking some length off.

I wore my hair short for 5 years before I decided to grow it out for the wedding. It’s been fun to grow, and I’m loving playing with it long for once — but I’m definitely getting the itch for the scissors. Partner doesn’t agree — now that he’s seen me with long hair, he wants me to keep it long, but I’m not sure it’ll survive past the wedding!

me ! lol

I am used to hair up to my ears length and I grew it out to my shoulders. At this point, I kind of want to keep going to see if I can get it passed my shoulders before chopping it off.

Yup! I went shoulder-length (after being enamoured of Olivia Palermo’s chic middle part do for months) and while it has been fun and liberating, I want to have the option of long waves at my wedding. And most updos require longish hair. So I am limiting myself to the barest of trims until next March! Unfortunately my hair is super thick so I will probably have to do some layers at some stage.

I anticipate going to the salon the day after I get back from my honeymoon haha I have NO idea why I’m even growing it out because we may be doing an elopement and I’m not doing a big wedding dress so idk what I’ll be doing with my hair but I guess I just want the option!

Nope. I love my long hair and will never cut it. I guess I understand if you’ve always had short hair/prefer short hair (though I don’t understand why, then, you’d grow it out for one day), but I just don’t get the post wedding chop or the mommy chop.

I have always had my hair to the middle of my back, except for twice in my life when it was about shoulder length lol. (Once was when I was 5 and cut it myself….)

I love having long hair but I’m getting to the point where I need compromise! When it is this long, there’s not much I can do with it (Its fine, and it doesn’t curl or style well, and if I were to try and put layers in they’ll still just hang there anyway…) so after the wedding I’m going to put it back to just below my shoulders and try some more extreme layers than I have ever had in the past!

I have really long hair now, and growing it for the wedding. I will keep growing it after, but will probably dye it all red, and shave some off the sides. I want it to look elegant and nice on the wedding photos, but after that i’m going wild!

I’m also waiting til after the wedding to cut my hair. I did a mini chop recently but its still below the shoulder so after the wedding I will be cutting it and then I’m going to back to my natural hair eventually, within the next few years…. we’ll see how it goes.

I was growing my hair out from our 1st anni, lookig forward to on our wedding day having ass long hair. Then, when we passed out 4 year anniversary I hit a bit of waiting rebelion, said “he isn’t going to propose and I am mad”,  and chopped it to my chin. It was so long and thick and curly and weighed a ton, was crap-hard to style and I was working 2 jobs and going to school at the same time. so I said “eff- it” and chopped it off. A year later we are engaged and my hair is just reaching my shoulders again. I got 18 months before the big day and now I gotta rub olive oil, hoey and egg yoke into my scalp to get it to grow and be shinny. Mad Vitamine E a bumped up hair regimin needed.

SO mad

Kind of. i’ve been growing my hair out from an asymmetrical bob for a year or so, and I would love to cut it short again. I’m resisting because short hair is more work for me on a daily basis, and because getting it cut every 6 weeks is really expensive, and because I want to wear it up for the wedding.

I might cut it after we get married, but the other reasons for kepping it long will still stand then, so I dunno. I like my hair ok right now, but every time I see a picture of it short I want to cut it so bad! I also kind of want to grow it long again. Several years ago my hair was really long (like almost knee length long), and I sort of miss super long hair.

I can’t wait to cut my hair. it’s so heavy and thick and beautiful… but I am donating it to Wigs for Kids the day after the wedding and “starting new” with my future hubs. 🙂
