My daughter got married in 2008 at Smather’s Beach. They thought they were going to have a small destination wedding only 56 family and friends decided to go along!  Everyone pitched in to rent a tour bus. Drove straight through from Indiana to Miami, where we took over a very friendly hotel that even hosted a beer and wine “reception” for us. The next day our bus took us to the cruise ship. At the Key West stop, we had a conch train take us to Smather’s beach for the wedding. The wedding officiant (wife) and photographer (her husband) met us there (with the wedding flowers as well). It was so beautiful! The conch train then took us back to downtown where we ate at Hogsbreath and explored.  Colleen and Gary usually only do smaller weddings (ours was one of their biggest).  Here is their website:

We’ve done 3 or 4 weddings in Key West, and always use Key West Weddings To Go.

They do an excellent job and are very affordable too.

Key West is a lot of fun! You’ll have  wonderful time.

Just note that Smathers is a public beach. There’s a great place to get married on the beach where there is a circle of palm trees, but they are not allowed to ask people to move if they are laying out there when it’s time to set up for the wedding. We got lucky, as it was available. ( we had about 30 people at the last one), but there was a homeless guy asleep on a pinic table right next to the wedding. We managed to keep him out of the photos. 🙂
