I bought my mantilla veil from Ebay seller pamperedbride. It was advertised as ivory, but really it was quite white – my mom ended up tea-dying it. It was a lot of extra work (she had to take it apart and sew it back together, because the tulle itself was ivory, but the lace wasn’t, so she didn’t dye the tulle), but it’s gorgeous. I paid $40 and based on what I’ve seen in bridal shops, I feel like a bridal shop would’ve charged $200+ for it. I’ve received compliments from everyone who has seen it so far.

I should mention that the seller was willing to let me return the item, but since the veil was only $40, we figured we could afford to play around with it, and if it didn’t work out it wouldn’t be a huge loss.

I got mine from Venus Veils–$35, two layer, waltz-length, with crystals on the edge.

I bought 2 similar (longer for ceremony, shorter for reception) off ebay.  They were from brides who did not use them, so they still had the David’s Bridal tags on them.  I was persistent and got each for about $30 with shipping (retailed for over $100 each).  It took me about 3 months of patiently looking to get them though.

Got mine from Delicate Spirits. It’s really pretty, it’s an elbow length with crystal drops on the bottom. The only thing I don’t really like is the comb..isn’t as sturdy as the DB veil I tried on due to the comb length..other than that. great. only paid 25 bucks.

If you haven’t purchased yet check out glamgirl.com.  I bought my amazing hairpins from her and a french silk tulle veil (at a great price).  She was very easy and sweet to work with.  I takes her a few days to email you back sometimes but her products are AMAZING and decently priced (not super cheap).

I ordered mine from veilsbylesliev on ebay.  I wanted a very simple veil and I knew bridal shops would totally rip me off.  I ended up with a cut edge 2-tier fingertip veil and I think it was about $20 incl. shipping.  I’m totally happy with it.

Unless you want something very exact and high-end I think online is totally the way to go.

I got mine from venus veils as well.  Exactely what I was expecting from the picture.  I went for a dress trial, and tried a bunch of veils there so I knew what would look nice with my dress.  Then I figured well only spending $25 on a veil rather than the $180 from a bridal shop I could afford to need to buy another one in the event that one didn’t work out, but it was perfect!
