I did black Friday a couple of times when I was younger – this year, Fiance, his family, and I will be in NY for the Thanksgiving day parade and I’m pretty sure we’ll be leaving that day … I don’t have the stamina for it anymore, anyway – I swear to you, I just can’t handle the stupid people that often push and shove their ways around for “sales.”

My fiance and I did this last year, and it was SO MUCH FUN!
We stayed awake and went to the outlet stores that opened at midnight (hello 50% off Banana Republic). After the midnight to 3am craziness, we went home and refueled on leftovers and headed back out to WalMart, Sams Club, and Best Buy. We had just recently moved to the South, so observing Southern women in full shopping intensity was an experience! Seems strange, but we both agree it was one of our favorite things that we have done together 🙂

One thing I wanted to add is that a lot of stores have online sales that day. We’ve gotten stuff online a few times and thats more my type of shopping.
I really hate crowds.

We live in a pretty small town, so we’d have to drive at least 45 minutes to get to a Target/Best Buy/Old Navy/etc… for Black Friday shopping. This year, though, we’ll be in Wyoming, so I’ve been thinking about convincing my husband we should drive down to Denver for the sales. Sure it’s a 2 hour drive, but we would just stay up all night, drive down around midnight, and make it into town just in time to grab coffee before the stores open. 🙂 We’ll see…

We always do Black Friday at the outlets. Its crazy but so fun. They now do “midnight madness” at 12:00 am, but that is way to insane. You get the same deals at 5 am so we wait until then, although soem stuff is gone, but most stores have plenty of back stock at the outlets and some even wait to put stuff out for the am shoppers.

yikes. You all are crazyyy =o) Nah, I was a district Manager for Abercrombie for 2 years out of college. That definitely broke my early morning black fridya wanting to shop experience!!!
UGH speaking of that, time to start XMas shopping. I have a lot of people to buy for =oP

Black Friday shopping makes me entirely too nervous. No deal is worth the stress that it causes me. lol

I love love love Black Friday shopping. This will be my last Thanksgiving as a single lady and my first thought was “Oh no, if we do Thanksgiving at his family’s, I won’t be near a mall!” Haha.
The mall closest to my parent’s town has different laws for early openings, so the Macy’s opens at 7am, but the rest of the mall can’t open until 8am. Something along those lines. Basically, if we get up at 6am, we are good to go.
That being said, pretty much everything I buy on BF is for myself (or clothing type gifts for others). I realize how selfish that sounds, but I basically pool my clothes money for months to shop that day. I’m too ADD to deal with lots of people and signs and distractions to think about good presents for people while shopping.

It’s one of our holidays at work (LOVE that!) and the Future Mother-In-Law and I always tear up the malls.
And the wedding will be over by then so I can actually spend money on something OTHER than wedding paraphernalia!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
