I attended a wedding there in August of last summer (2009). I don’t mean to alarm you, but the food was terrible and there is no AC.

I was not present for cocktail hour because we of the wedding party were shuttled down to the beach for pictures. However, when we returned, the venue was just as melting-point hot as it was when we left. The food took so long to serve that people were up dancing in between courses. The salad was wilted and tasteless, the steak was cold, bleeding, and raw (and thus completely inedible), no water glasses were refilled, coffee was taken away almost immediately, and the cake was dry and stale.

The lack of climate control meant that everone was sweating and miserable and not particularly inclined to dance. Space was cramped, and the upper balcony was only used for the guestbook.

A single positive note: the wedding coordinater was in control and calm the entire time, and was accommodating during a personal emergency.

The place looks very pretty, particularly at night, and I can only hope that other weddings were more successful than the one I attended.

If you are looking for a cape wedding Chatham Bars Inn is amazing (but def. on the pricey side).
