Love this!

I’m 5’4″, and I’ll be wearing my dark brown hair half-up/ half-down and in loose curls…  I’m not too keen on the veil idea either.

I think you should go for it! (:  Those roses are gorgeous.

Wow it’s crazy how alike we are! I’m also 5’2″ and decided very early on that I don’t want to wear a veil. I want flowers too, because it’s something I wear in my hair all the time! And I’ve got long hair that I’m going to wear in loose curls. Are you my twin or something??

I LOVE those ivory roses, but I’m thinking that to be more wedding-y I’m going to want real flowers in my hair. I haven’t talked to my hairstlyist or my florist about this yet, but it just seems like an awesome idea to me.

@craftybridelovesnerdygroom:  I’m not wearing a veil either.  I found a very realistic hair flower off Etsy.  It’s a white rose and looks and feels real and was only $10!  I’ve been told to NOT do real flowers in your hair.  That they are more difficult to secure in your hair, they will easily wilt and just don’t photograph as well.  I have enough to worry about, I won’t want to stress about a flower.

This is flower I bought…

@craftybridelovesnerdygroom:  No problem. You can see the seller’s site on the pic I posted.  She shipped the flower out very quickly, I would totally buy from her again.

I wore a flower! We’re not religious and I felt silly when I tried on a veil at the bridal salon. I chose a purple flower because I wanted a pop of color – it was made by a woman on Etsy but it was so big I actually had to cut it down!

The ones you chose will look really pretty. πŸ™‚

Here is mine:

My personal opinion is that veils are so not my style, they’re to pricey, and a huge pain in the you know what…so I’m going with a nice sparkly headband and an half up hairstyle. Or your flower idea would be beautiful too. do what makes you comfy. I guess veils are just a personal preference.

@craftybridelovesnerdygroom:  I think it’s beautiful! I will also be wearing flowers in my hair on my wedding day instad of a veil..mostly because it is a destination wedding and i feel it will be way too hot!

I’m 4’11” and no veil for me too. I will be wearing my hair in a curly updo with a smaller version of the same fabric flowers of my bouquet.
