I love looking at all the extravagent dresses out there, but have found that I’m more in love with the very simple dresses that I try on.. as close as I can get to floor length.

Me! I actually tried on big gowns except for this one. I’m petite, and everything else was just so overwhelming on me, too heavy, too constricting, etc.

That pretty much sums up my dress!

@MxH13:  Not married yet, but I’m having an equally hard time trying to find a dress that I want, and it’s fairly simple in it’s design. You’re not alone! I see all these gorgeous gowns, and even tried a few on, but they’re just not ME. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am ordering an Alfred Angelo 2171 with a corset back.

I liked it the best out of everything I tried on.  Nice corseted top with a flowy chiffon skirt.

Mine!  It does have a long train but I’m planning on having some of it trimmed off.

I felt the exact same way about my dress and especially since I am getting married in a catholic church but I realized that my dress is ME. I am a simple /elegant lady and it fits me and my personality and I don’t have to be like everyone else. I absolutely love my dress. This is my dress before alterations. So alot of the lengh is at the bottom tucked in. ๐Ÿ™‚

@MxH13:  Thank you for the suggestion. I’m actually looking for something more retro, like a swing halter dress in white (since my colors are going to be dark purple, silver and black). Ivory is pretty but might not look right with silver shoes :))

ETA: I am also REALLY plus size, so hard to find dresses that would fit! ๐Ÿ˜€
