Me!

This is my dress:

And this was my dream dress:

So I am planning to buy/have custom made a chiffon “wrap” skirt that I can wear over my dress for part of the wedding, and have a sexy, fitted, but still “flowy” dress for the rest of the party. πŸ™‚

Something that will look like this, but in a light color (off-white, ivory, or very light blush…)

Mine is pretty simple, soft flowy chiffon πŸ™‚

Mine has some lace and a bit of sparkle but its also a silk chiffon style dress =)  I love simple sillhouettes as it allows the bride to truely shine!

This is my dress:

I waffle between being crazy in love with it to worrying that it using not flattering at all. I’m sure when I have the extra foot hemmed up the skirt will hang nicer and “poof” less at the waist.

Mine!  IMO a simple bridal gown puts all the attention on the person in the dress vs. the dress itself.  Mine is a little attention grabbing – but still kind of simple at its core.

Yup.  @SweetTea, I’m a plus size as well; I found Mori Lee’s selections to be the most varied for simple, chiffon options.

@epalmisano829:  Thanks!  The dress wasn’t custom. I bought the dress (shown on me in the frist two pictures) at a non-profit sample shop. (It donates all of it’s proceeds to a NYC school, so it’s a double bonus!!)  The dress is by Suzanne Neville, a UK designer.

I *will* be making it custom, though, by adding an overskirt for part of the wedding, and then “switching” to the more fitted dress by taking off the skirt later. This way I get the best of both worlds. πŸ™‚

@MxH13, Thanks!
