I wear my glasses most of the time but contacts for things like skiiing, beaching, and sometimes for special occasions.  I will probably wear my contacts for the ceremony and reception (afternoon) but my glasses for the afterparty … partly because I have sort of rockabilly looking glasses and I’m planning to get a second, rockabilly-ish dress for the afterparty (thus fufilling my secret dream wedding theme in a small but satisfying way!)

The only reason I could think of to consider wearing your contacts for the wedding would be glare off the lenses in photos … do your lenses have good anti-glare?

Most of all I think that it’s important for you to feel like your best "you" on your wedding day … and if wearing your glasses is what makes you feel like "you" then I would totally wear them.  I know that’s my FH’s biggest worry, that when I walk down the aisle I won’t look like me, (and I’m quoting here) "the woman he loves and thinks is beautiful every day"  (aw, he is so cute and sappy)

i am!! you’re not alone! although i feel like i’ve almost never seen wedding pictures of brides with glasses (except mrs gummi bear?) i don’t even own a pair of contacts! oh well! i think everyone would think it was weird (or more like i looked weird) if i suddenly wore contacts for the wedding…so i’m sticking with glasses!

i’m wearing my glasses because i’d be blind without them and i heart the four eyed geeky look 🙂

Both my Fiance and I are wearing glasses on the big day.  We wear them all the time and would feel weird without them.  I am, however, wearing my rimless frames, rather than my horn rimmed pair, so I can still have fun with my eye makeup. 🙂

i’m wearing my glasses as well. it’s either i wear glasses and actually keep my eyes focused and open than wear contacts and be teary eyed, itchy and squinty for the entire night. my eyes hate the feeling of contacts, so why suffer for the sake of not wearing glasses?

plus… i wear my glasses all the time and have become one of those people who look DRASTICALLY different when i take my glasses off.  i just wouldn’t look like myself at all.

If my glasses weren’t Transitions lenses, I would have worn my glasses!
