Oh, I would love it if more brides chose minimalist and elegant jumpsuits, with stunning hats such as these below. Mind you, it’s a very tricky silhouette to pull off.

If I could, i would wear a jumpsuit/romper every day of the week! They look so beautiful. I already have my dress, but I would be open to wearing a jumpsuit for the rehearsal dinner.

lr0901:  My first thought was WHY? But on second thought, why not? Why should a woman be limited to dresses if she doesn’t like them or isnt’ comfortable or whatever. This is a perfectly fine alternative.

The lacy ones are kind of pretty, but not for me. I can’t imagine many grooms would be thrilled with it, to be honest.

That look is SO sleek and modern and feminine… When done precisely right. I’d be too afraid of looking more like a business woman than a bride to attempt it, but I think it could look absolutely incredible irl

not me but someone I know was considering it… she has a medical condition that requires calipers (that she does not like people to see) and uses a wheelchair often so a dress was very impractical as it could ride up and expose her legs plus gets caught in the wheels of her chain and is quite uncomfortable – unfortunatly she needed to delay her wedding so hasnt bought the outfit yet though

ladycirtolthiel:  why?

im just curious but my SO loves me in a well fitted catsuit, im too fat for them now though… I actually cant think of a man I know thats eyes dont pop when they see something like this and it use to cerainly attract dates when I was younger – I think my man would personally hate a big dress more

It’s funny how tastes vary.  With the second two images, my brain says – gee, that would be alright if it was a skirt instead of pants.  I guess I just can’t get behind something super dressy that is also just flowy pant legs.  I’m probably stuck with a traditionalist viewpoint.  At the same time, there are some dresses I absolutely despise or at the very least would never wear myself – mermaid/trumpet comes immediately to mind, but I’m not into ballgowns either.  And then of course there are surely ladies on this website who think I’m nuts for having worn a swing dress intead of a proper gown for my wedding.

One question you may want to consider if you take the romper route is how easy is it to get those off to pee?  Maybe a two piece would be easier, at least.  Of course it can’t be worse than hiking up a thousand petticoats, but I’m practical like that and so wouldn’t do either.

But I’ve gotta ask … am I the only one who immediately thought of Evel Knievel on seeing the first picture? (sorry but it’s been on my mind for a full day now!)
