@bRooklynRocks: My weave didn’t leave a lil of my hair out and it (the weave) looks very natural. I have bangs with this weave, but my friends have full weaves with a part (none of their hair is left out) and it still looked natural.

@homegirl: ITA with all of this. I’m a HUGE fan of lace wigs and can’t even imagine my wedding day style without one.

There are a LOT of options, even Ebay manufacturers or “lace front” wigs which don’t have the lace throughout the whole unit, but still can look flawless for a much lower price than a full lace wig. It’s worth it to check out your options!

Just for poops and giggles…here’s a site to check out that has a lot of interesting updo’s and such for “us”.

And here’s the style I picked out even before I picked a dress! lol I’m planning to wear a birdcage veil, so I think this will do nicely.

@Miss Tattoo: I’ve bought hair and hair products from HairSisters.com and have been pleased with what they offer. But, I’ve never worn a lace front.

If you check out YouTube, there are many women who do lacefront reviews and can point you to some good brands/websites.

@Miss Tattoo:You should try bestlacewigs.com very reliable and fast free shipping. They sell regular exctension as well, and as any other legit company they can have your wig custom made. They are located in China. I was scared at first but they have better hair than a lot of company I used and where I PAID WAY TO MUCH. Other companies:

sassysecrets.com, misswigs.com seems to have mixed reviews.

You should watch the reviews on youtube :

yes I am!!! I just decided to do this about 2 days ago. I am not however going to spend $200-$300 on a freakin wig. I am going with the synthetic lace wig. They are only about $60-$70 and that is just fine for one day.

I’ve decided to do a weave with the Virgin Indian Hair extensions. I’m getting married away in Jamaica and I don’t want to fuss with my natural hair. I’ll be sure to post pics for any future brides who may be interested!!!!

I’m not a fan of lace wigs or lace weaves or whatever you call it.  I’m not knocking anyone who wear it, to each it’s own but personally, I think lace wigs look like a fake hairline.  But that’s me.  I don’t usually wear hair weaves. I usually put on a half wig every now and again but for my wedding I’m going to suck it up and wear a weave. I’m wearing Indian Curly hair 6 oz.  I’m going for this curly updo something like a messy bun but not really.  Don’t know how to explain it but that’s what I’m doing to my hair for the wedding.

Hello Bees,

As promised, here is my wedding do. I wore a sew in with Virgin Indian Hair in the naturally straight/ wavy pattern. I love it and it was sooo perfect for my Jamaican Beach wedding 🙂 Sorry for the extra large photo!!!

I’m not a big wig fan at all, but it takes work to make a lacefront look real. You can’t take it out of the package, drop it on your head, and expect it to look completely natural.

Muffinismylovers is THE BEST wig guru on YouTube. This diva must own hundreds of wigs! What she does is cut off some of the lace so the hairline looks natural. She also wears a wig cap brushed with some foundation so the parts look real. And she sews in elastic for a better fit.

Please check out her channel. She has the most amazing tutorials for lacefronts, full lace wigs, half-wigs, and make-up. I’ve seen a lot of women try to rock these looks in real life and look like clowns, but she has great tips on making it work.
