CFBC and Christian. As long as I am serving God, that is what matters.

This is a drink of water to my spirit compared to the Tump thread. Thanks, y’all.

My feeling has always been if God wants me to have children, then He’ll put that desire on my heart. I believe I’m here to serve in ways other than procreation and motherhood. (Not that you can’t be a mother and have other purposes, obviously.) So until God changes my heart,  I’m not worried about my decision and what others in my faith may think of it. It’s between me, God and my husband and that’s all that matters.

I am a fence sitter and Christian and I have come across soooo many Christians who have anywhere from 3-9 children because it was their “duty”.  And honestly I don’t get it.  I don’t get how populating the planet with your own children is considered a “Christian” ideal.  I get the whole raising your children in the faith thing, but having a boatload of children just because God told you to go populate the world???  It doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m a Christian and CFBC. I don’t go to church, but I think many churches don’t care and don’t think it’s a wife’s duty to have children. At least, I hope so!

craigslistgirl:  I am a Christian and I do want children however these things have no relation to each other. My community would support either decision equally. I have not known of a Christian church/community that would look against those that did not choose to bear children? But who knows what’s out there… I think if I thought hard enough about it I could think of a few denominations that might feel this way but I cannot speak to it from my personal experiences

MissesAwesome:  I am happily fence sitting right now with no intentions to change my stance any time soon.  🙂
