I have chronic back pain, not sure if that counts?  It means I’m in constant pain from an old car accident. I don’t let it stop me anymore, after years of feeling sorry for myself I instead fight through it and probably will end up destroying my liver if I’m not careful (with meds) but I’m not sure I’m in the same category as you are…sorry to hear that.

@MelodicCallie:  I have endometriosis, which was discovered after a surgery a couple years ago. It’s quite the adjustment. Some days are worse than others.

I have a slew of health problems. I  have lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, endometriosis, ulcerative colitis. I think that’s the main stuff. I occasionally get migraines, but switching my diet helped control that a lot. I’m currently dealing w/ some rather annoying stomach issues and my lupus went out of remission, boo 🙁  We are eloping for a few reasons, and one is my health. It was just too much stress on me to plan on a wedding, plus I kept worrying about how I would feel and deal w/ the whole day.

@MelodicCallie:  I use an inversion table.  It really helps the back pain.  Really I would think most people with what I have may have had more issues but I refused to let that happen.  There were a lot of moments though where the DIY stuff really bothered me, but after 11 years I refused to let the pain win.

@MelodicCallie:  I definitely deal w/ the nausea (they can’t tease out if it’s something on its own, related to health issues, or related to medications). I love Zofran (I get the ones that dissolve on your tongue). I just got diagnosed w/ a hernia (a hiatal hernia? idk, i may have spelled it wrong!), h pylori, and somethng else. I have to look at my chart.

I’m sorry that your mom has lupus. I’m going to a support group tomorrow and hope that it will help. Hopefully they can figure out what’s wrong w/ you. I wish I had a GP who coordinated everything or kept an eye on it, but my GP seems to get overwhelmed easily. I just see her for very basic stuff or my yearly well woman exam. I sometimes get frustrated b/c I feel like I haev SO many doctors (and not all communiate w/ each other – but my specialists are all realy good. Do you know if there are any good rheumatologists in your area? Maybe they can look into any immune stuff)

@MelodicCallie:  Chronic back pain, I wake up and feel like a bag of busted glass bits every morning. Have a variety of health issues as well. Daily chores like washing dishes, running a vaccuum, taking out trash, etc. cause me quite a bit of pain sadly. I just try to either take plenty of breaks or power through it. Wedding isn’t until next year, so being able to take time and plan helps a lot. Rushing would make things a lot worse for the stress levels!

@MelodicCallie:  I haven’t really had to yet, because i am planning a very small, intimate wedding (30 people max). i might have made this decision because i know in my heart of hearts that i don’t want to take on that much though. my symptoms include back pain, fatigue, and bad cramps. it affects my work more than anything – i have to call in quite often to say i am taking a day off or working from home and that part is difficult because i feel like with chronic pain, people just get tired of hearing the same thing. but there is not much you can do but take the best care you can, i suppose!
