My fiance and I are planning a small intimate wedding with lots of handmade touches. Every time I complete a project I get excited and want to show everyone but I have restrained myself because all my friends are coming to the wedding and I want to keep certain elements a surprise!
I would love to hear other Bees Theme or inspiration and see all the awesome crafts you have made!
We are drawing inspiration from literary love stories..and our colors are charcoal and pale yellow.
This is the project I am in the middle of now tying and adding leaves to our Giving Tree inpsired invites. This was last weeks project, I added a little of yellow to our grey chargers!

@Jlee28: love the chargers

@Jlee28: I am not crafty at all…. I super glued letters to a wodden box to make our card box… so I really have nothing to add but I just wanted to tell you I LOVE your invites!! They are so cool!!

Thank you, purchising them was so much cheaper than renting!

I think my frugel ways have forced me to be a bit more crafty, I look at stuff on etsy and think “I can make that”…sometimes its an epic failure though

I’m DIY-ing practically everything. The stuff I can’t DIY (jewelry) is being done by my MIL-to-be.
I am bedazzling my shoes:
…making my own Juliet veil (the work in the photo below has been scrapped and I am starting over, but ths is for the idea):
…folding origami flowers (WIP, will be adding baby’s breath):
I also DIY’d the invitation and Save-The-Date Cards and I’m doing the programs, but nothing to show yet. And I’m DIY’ing the centerpieces, which will be old books that partner and I love the coffee mug vases filled with paper kudusama and baby’s breath. I’m also considering bunting.
@Jlee28 – Your invitations and chargers are awesome!

@dreamhazer: Everything looks great, I toyed with the idea of paper floral too (using old books) but my mom is a florist and would not hear of it! I can’t wait to see you completed Juliet cap, I wish I was crafty enough to have made my own veil!! Keep up all the hard work, somedays I feel a bit overwhelmed but I love the personal touches!

@Jlee28: I love your invites, so cute! I know what you mean about wanting to show your stuff off. Fiance doesn’t get as excited over my stuff & I am impatiently awaiting the big day just so I can see everything come together!! With that, I will take you up on your invitation to show off my handywork!
I designed & assembled my invitations:
Here are my centerpieces:
And my latest project – “LOVE” decor for the guestbook table:
Thanks for letting me share!

My wedding was back in October, so I don’t have anything new to say about that. However, in the past two weeks I have had two orders for custom shoes for two lovely ladies’ weddings. Photos of the second order:

I did my own centerpieces, but the professional pics are on the other computer. So I’m bookmarking this so hopefully I’ll remember to post them tomorrow.

@Jlee28: Wow, these invitations are just too sweet for words. And I really do like the addition to the chargers… the colors and textures are just beautiful. Job well done, my dear!
@_Adelaide_: Darling!!! We’re building a new fence in our backyard and WHY do I think that would be precious on the gate?!!
Our wedding was a DIY extravaganza from beginning to end. I make cards, invitations, home decor, jewelry, re-purpose furniture, etc. so I am pretty versed in the world of crafting, but boy was it exhausting.
DIY Invitations, 100% handmade by moi (talk about a labor of love!):
And (some!) of the other DIY; signs, linens, wedding wish jar (in lieu of a guestbook), table numbers and tablescapes, ceremony/photo backdrop, favors, menus, etc. etc.

I have too many projects to put them all up. As excited as my Fiance gets about all the stuff I’ve made (invites, programs, menus, centerpieces, thank you cards, jewelry, etc), I can’t show him my fave project lol. Here’s my WoW themed groom’s gift and our gamer boutonnieres.
My all time favorite craft that I’ve done so far is probably my cake topper (I wanted something really customized). It only cost me about $15 to make, but it incorporates the ‘romantic picnic basket’ from WoW, some futurama referrences, and the things we love to cook for each other.
