My mom taught me to cross stitch when I was like 8 or 9 but I can’t say I’ve done it recently :/ I would love to pick it up again though!

I have throughout the years on and off. Usually on family vacations when I had long car rides with nothing to do. Haven’t in about two years. I spend my time these days making quilts. I can’t wait to have kids and make the baby announcement ones though.

I do! Although it takes me a couple of years to finish each one (school and work just get in the way!).

I do! I made a really elaborate one for my sister’s wedding last year, but I’ve had to stop for a while. Too much else going on πŸ™‚ I have plans to make one for my Mother-In-Law sometime relatively soon though, but I can’t start it til after the wedding at the earliest!

I do cross stitch all the time.  It’s what I give to people whenever they have a baby or get married!

@Firefighter_Bride: That is so freaking adorable!

Oh, and I forgot to say before that my dad was the one who taught me and he made my birth sampler and a sampler for when we got married!

I don’t anymore although I know how to, my grandma was a seamstress so I learned all kinds of stuff when I was little πŸ™‚ The hobby I picked up is quilting and I often feel the same as you– it seems so rare that people our age do it anymore!
