I don’t have experience with them, but it looks like an interesting venue… would you mind sharing what their price range is like?
I found them to be very competitively priced (I also was looking at venues in Newport, RI, so I guess anything felt like a steal after those prices).
Anyway, they have a venue fee, which for a Saturday night was $5100 for 2013. Less for a friday or Saturday.
Food-wise, I thought they were reasonable. Entrees range from mid-40s to 60s per person. 5 passed apps for 9.00 per person. They have a bunch of other options as well. I was really happy with the menu choices.
What I LOVED about the pricing is that all taxes, service and admin fees are included in the entree prices. So there are absolutely no hidden costs, where at a lot of other venues I visited, there were 20% admin fees on top of taxes.
They’ve been so great to work with, check them out!
@arogers46: Haha, so funny, we JUST visited there on Monday, looking to do 9/21/13. She told us that was the only Saturday they had left in September 2013. I just looked at your date, looks like we’d be a week apart if we go with cruiseport, which I’m almost positive we’re going to do!
Live heard nothing but rave reviews of vinwood caterers. We actually also went to the Elks at Bass rocks that day, and the woman there recommended them number one of all the 5 or 6 different caterers they use. The way I think about it is like trying a new restaurant- you’ve read glowing reviews on Yelp, and the menu sounds fantastic, it’s probably going to be great. And at least for me, we live in NYC, so it’s one less thing I have to make a trip for!
Have you been to the space in person? I loved the deck with the view of the harbor, and the separate roomdownstairs for cocktail hour, plus the dressing room like feel of the women’s room downstairs too.
Would love to chat with you more, feel free to private message me any time!
