@bellagio: David’s Bridal rocks!  I’m just not one of those people who needs attention that small bridal stores tend to give.  I’m also petite and other manufacturers don’t cater to peope my size, but David’s does.  I also don’t buy into the “get your dress 1 year before your wedding” so when I started looking 4 months before my wedding, all the other manufacturers were going to charge me a rush fee.  Heck with that, my dress from David’s got here in 3 weeks!  Plus who wants to spend thousands of dollars on a dress you are going to wear for 8  hours?

@tksjewelry: I tried on that dress but couldn’t hold the top up lol I’m so jealous. The pictures do not do it justice.

I’ve had a great experience so far.  Bought my Oleg Cassini gown from there.

I was reluctant to go to DB as well, not because they’re cheap but because of the “factory” feel. So far my experience has been pretty positive. If you’re on a budget it’s definitely not something to thumb your nose at. You never know what you’ll find.

@jayelcee85: Hey! We’re dress twins! yay!

I don’t have a picture of me in the dress, but here’s one from my files.

I am a DB Bride as well!  We don’t have a DB in Canada, but because of my teeny budget, I knew a cross border trip was in order!

The consultant was great, the availability of plus size samples was great too.  I was very happy with my experience!

I have the same dress as kimberlysnyder and have made some changes.  I actually just had a corset back put in the dress.  I love the look of the zip up back, but the corset does wonders for my curves!  This is me, pre-corset (and pre-weightloss):

DB bride here!! I was quite the snob about it and I almost cancelled my appt with them but there were only a few stores open on the day I had free to try on dresses so I kept it and I’m so glad I did!! My appointment was also verrrrrrrrry long and I tried on TONS of dresses and actually found a lot that I liked.

I saw another girl walk out in a dress and knew it was the one as soon as I saw it. It fit like a glove, I’m not even going to need many alterations. I love my dress.

I tried on lots of dresses at two other high end boutiques also and I didn’t like any of those dresses better, especially not over $1000 difference better ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had a great experience at DB and didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for my dress!

@kala_way : Too cool!! I love the simple, yet elegant look of our gown! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m glad you posted that pic! I was having trouble of what kind of jewelry to accessorize with, but that necklace she’s wearing gave me a decent idea to run with!

We didn’t have a particularly good experience at David’s Bridal itself.  However, I ended up getting a David’s Bridal dress through a consignment store, and having it altered by an independent seamstress.  Honestly, I could not see the point of paying a lot of money for a dress I would wear for just one day.  This one made me feel like a bride, but allowed me to allocate more money toward parts of the wedding that were more important to us.

SWORE up and down I would never buy from DB after all the horror stories…after a terrible experience at Alfred Angelo, I looked at the DB website on a lark…and decided to order an online-only style.  Fell in love with it–so excited for my first fitting tomorrow!  Here’s the picture from the website…
