Helloo!! After much deliberation and exchanging my first dress, I ordered the VW351010 White by Vera Wang One Shouldered Fit and Flare beauty! I never expected a dress with so much volumn and definitely was against an ivory dress but everything changed when I tried this on..
Anyway, just wondering if any brides are doing veil or birdcage with this dress? I don’t really know which is better but I definitely want my hair down and I don’t want to overwhelm the look…
Also, sash or no sash? I like how it looks either way!
Any crazy shoes yet? I really want to wear purple shoes with it…. 🙂 I’d love to see what other brides are doing!!
No Sash, Veil

Wow that dress looks amazing on you! I say sash 🙂

I like it a lot better with the sash!

Thank you! I think so too.. I just really don’t wanna spend 150 on a sash.. hopefully I’ll find another that is just as nice on etsy…

The dress looks amazing on you! I vote for the sash, the bling is just enough to pop on your waist 🙂

I say go with the sash, the birdcage and the purple shoes!
Of course, I’m a bit biased toward the birdcage and purple shoes myself!

Hey! I also ordered vw351010. I didn’t have a great experience, but I got a great dress! I drove over 7 hrs to get to a store that said they had vw351010 in my size, but they didn’t. I even told them how far I was coming and to please double check. Anyways, you’ll see these dresses just like my mother did 🙂
First I tried on the very popular 351011. Ivory and Blush. Blush was a smaller size… i think it fit better. This is where I fell in love with the sash- but this one wasn’t wide enough for my liking. It didn’t show off my curves very well. The wider sash helps accentuate, instead of looking like a string wrapped around a balloon 😉
But alas, I know vw351010 was the one… and the closest size they had was a 4. Let’s just say I’m no where close. So, I held it up…
I knew this was it, and I feel like ordering the larger size was smart because no matter what- they can always alter down…
I bought it exactly as shown on the mannequin. I haven’t seen the grosgrain sash on the website, but it is from the Vera Wang WHITE coillection.
It’s super slimming (forgot to take a pic of it on- sorry!). Gorgeous. I am having a mettalic wedding. I’m wearing with these Steve Madden heels:
I’m having a very modern, rooftop wedding in the city. I think this dress is AMAZING. Now, what to do abut a veil? I can’t decide on that at all…

Oh, and since we are talking VW Whites again…I opted for hair down and single-tier pencil edge chapel train veil for my VW351011. Here’s how it looks, I especially love it from the back:

@BlueFox181 oooo I love how they all look! Of course I favor the one shoulder 🙂 and I loveee those shoes!! very pretty…
@pink.sequins still sooo jealous my colors were already picked or else I would have done blush just for that dress!! 🙂
I’m also wondering what to do for my veil. I decided against the sash on mine, only because I love how the rouching and the buttons down the side look. I tried on a beautiful ivory single tier fingertip veil that had blingy appliques on it from DB (this location didn’t carry the VW dresses yet…) and I really liked it.. $189 makes me cringe for something I’ll probably only wear for the ceremony..
Anyway, here’s more pictures of me in MY actual dress, which came yesterday! sooo fast <3 I kind of panicked because the zipper was really hard to open and close, even before I put it on.. It kept getting stuck in the fabric inside. I had to have an employee unzip it from the hanger. She said because it was brand new it would be like that… yikes! if I rip it on the day, but I will loosen it up by then I guess.
Definitely will have my hair down, but actually styled haha.. Also I am definitely having my tailor lower the neckline a little when she alters it.. It feels about an inch-inch and a half too high, and I really want to show more neck! 😛
Not a flattering angle at all and I hate my hair pinned up like that but this veil was very sparkly in person!
This veil was nice, although too short for my liking and not enough bling.. only $50 though..
Yay for my purple wedges!! <3 <3 <3

I wanted to do blue shoes so badly, but just never found any I liked. But now my flower girls are also wearing gold glitter shoes and white dresses with black sash. I never even thought of wearing my hair down, but I like it! I have really thick curly hair (flat-ironed above) so I am hoping we can do a blow out and it’ll hold the look below…
Maybe I can put it to half down at the reception if I feel like it? I found a place with way more reasonable rates and even got a sample card sent to me so I could check otu the goods. veilshop.com Does any one have any experience with them?

Your shoes are fab! And the 1st blingy scalloped veil looks really pretty. Is that the super expensive one? I wonder if you can find something similar for less on etsy?
I like your idea of lowering the neckline a bit in alterations…yay on getting YOUR dress 🙂
